Nintendo Switch Online’s Gamecube section just got a welcome addition — the console’s Fire Emblem game is now part of the library. In Japan this overhead turn-based strategy game has been a treasured series since the Famicom days, but Fire Emblem didn’t start getting localized outside of its home country until the early 2000s when the Game Boy Advance received the first officially translated title. It sold well enough there to be given a chance on American consoles in 2005, and that’s what we’re getting in this week’s Nintendo Switch Online update. “All of Tellius is torn in a bloody war that has set the human empires against the nations of the shape-shifting laguz. A small band of mercenaries, led by the earnest but inexperienced Ike, possesses the means to end this war, but a hard path lies before them. Players must master strategy, steel and sorcery to restore order to the seven kingdoms.” You wanna know why the Japanese trailer for the game is there below this article?
