Zen gardens have always existed as a way to cultivate tranquility and peace of mind. This new game, Dream Garden, grants you a new cozy way to create your own slice of zen! Campfire Studio created Dream Garden for the simple goal of creating a cozy, tranquil experience. There is nothing to rush you and no dangers to face, as the focus is to attain peace through creating a zen garden. How you choose to build it, and what your zen garden will hold within is all up to you. The tools you have at your disposal are the brushes, and the landscape your canvas. The ‘brushes’ you can use include carving out trenches for ponds, raising the land for hills, shifting the weather to your mood, and raking the sand into patterns you wish. However, your customization is not limited by just landscaping, as you have many decorations to place about your garden. This appeals to me because I like slow games. It allows me complete control without any pressure, which I prefer. The idea of creating land and positioning objects at my own pace appeals to me because I frequently become weary of games that encourage speed or continuous advancement. I can picture spending time fine-tuning minute elements like a pond's shape or a lantern's orientation. I'm interested in the weather choice since I enjoy pictures that reflect my mood, particularly cloudy skies or gentle rain. Additionally, I appreciate that it permits the placing of individual things or the painting of items in groups, as there are times when I want simplicity and other times I want precision.

I believe this is the type of game I would play to unwind after work when my mind is wandering. I don't need large goals. I just need a quiet place where I can sort my belongings. I've tried other building games, but they typically entail resource management or obstacles. This one focuses on relaxation, which seems beneficial to me. If the soundtrack is calming, I'll probably leave it on even while I'm not playing. I envision myself starting with a modest garden and gradually expanding as new ideas come to me. It sounds like something I could go back to several times without being overwhelmed.

I like sandbox building games, and I often get stressed when there are too many systems. This one looks simple enough, which is good for me. I want to experiment with the weather feature the most. I enjoy darker, rainy moods because they help me focus. I am curious about how deep the landscaping tools go. If they respond smoothly, I can spend hours adjusting small details. It looks like something I can leave running while listening to calm music.

My attention span is short, so I like simple systems. Dream Garden seems easy enough that I can jump in and out without forgetting what I was doing. I appreciate that there are no threats or complicated objectives. I just want to move sand around and place objects. I also like that I can shape water. I think I will enjoy making a small pond and adjusting its edges for a long time.
