Trapped Inn : There is no escape! Trapped Inn is a chilling sci-fi thriller that eerily mirrors the isolation and uncertainty of the 2020 pandemic. This film transports viewers to a remote European mountain lodge, where an American cycling team seeks refuge for intense training. The pristine, isolated setting, initially promising a tranquil escape, soon turns into a claustrophobic nightmare. As the team members start mysteriously disappearing, a sense of dread and paranoia creeps in. Two rival cyclists, Connor (Matt Rife) and Greg (Robert Palmer Watkins), are forced to put aside their differences and work together to survive the escalating crisis. The lodge, once a sanctuary, becomes a prison, and the team finds themselves trapped both physically and psychologically. A chilling legend surrounding the lodge, dating back to the 1970s, adds to the growing sense of doom. A previous cycling team had vanished under enigmatic circumstances in the same location, foreshadowing the impending catastrophe. As the situation deteriorates, a shocking revelation emerges: the world is under an alien invasion. The once-peaceful retreat becomes a microcosm of a planet under siege. The team must not only confront the extraterrestrial threat but also grapple with the psychological toll of isolation and the unknown. […] (read full article...)

Wow, Trapped Inn sounds like a sci-fi thriller that’s right up my alley! The whole “trapped in a secluded lodge” setup reminds me of classic horror vibes, but with a modern twist. The pandemic parallels are bound to make it feel even more intense. And the whole alien invasion twist? Yes, please! It’s refreshing to see sci-fi tackle isolation in a way that feels close to home. Also, I’m super intrigued by the rivalry between Connor and Greg and how they have to work together to survive.

To be honest, Trapped Inn sounds like it could go either way for me. The isolated mountain lodge and vanishing characters give me classic horror vibes, which I love. But I hope the alien invasion aspect isn’t just tacked on as a gimmick. There are so many “pandemic-inspired” movies popping up that feel rushed and cash in on recent anxieties without bringing much new to the table. I’ll give it a chance, but I’m keeping my expectations tempered.

I remember how intense those early lockdown days felt, so seeing a movie tap into that kind of collective trauma is a no for me,

A remote lodge, people disappearing, and a chilling mystery from the 1970s—Trapped Inn reminds me of older thrillers that built suspense without relying on big-budget effects. I like that they’re tying in an old legend, too; it gives the story a sense of history. I’m curious if the alien storyline will add depth or distract from the psychological aspects. Either way, I’ll be watching!
