Boobs and blood. Whatever your reaction to those two words, I’m sure I’ve got your attention. Yes, boobs and blood are at the center of Death Streamer, the latest release from the Pulp Noir label of the Full Moon film empire run by Charles Band. While Band’s latest directorial effort may show plenty of crimson soaked skin, it’s also got much more to offer viewers who love a a good freaky flick with a edge. A Return to Ghastly Roots with Death Streamer I recently interviewed Charles Band for PopGeeks here, where he enthusiastically shared the origins of the Death Streamer concept. This includes the means by which he obtained the lush filming set. There was no doubt during that conversation that Band was enthusiastic about returning to his ghastly, gore-filled movie making roots. Death Streamer shows that he has every reason to be proud of this outing. Death Streamer deals with a series of ritualistic seductions of beautiful women captured via a pair of high tech sunglasses outfitted with a video camera that live streams the bloody climax of these encounters to a list of growing subscribers. That’s right, live death on camera with sexy edge being offered to […]

Woah, Death Streamer sounds like my kind of party! Blood, babes, and a live-streamed massacre? Sign me up! I gotta admit, the whole "vampire with high-tech sunglasses" thing is a little out there, but hey, if it means some creative kills, I'm down. Plus, practical effects over CGI? Now that's how you do horror right! Definitely checking this out with some pizza and buddies this Halloween.

Intriguing concept, but "boobs and blood" doesn't exactly scream quality filmmaking. The review mentions artistic cinematography and engaging characters, which is promising. However, the "shocking purpose" behind the killings being revealed to horror content creators feels a bit too meta for my taste. I might give it a shot on streaming, but I'm keeping my expectations low.

Full Moon flick with practical effects? You son of a gun, I'm sold! Don't care about fancy plots or award-winning acting, just gimme some good old-fashioned gore and chills. This "Church of Chills" crew sounds hilarious too. Maybe it's not high art, but it sounds like a total blast for a fun horror night with friends. Plus, gotta love movies that embrace the VHS release!

Hold on, a villain with a mute henchman in a badass leather jacket and a female sidekick rocking S&M Mardi Gras attire? Okay, Death Streamer suddenly has my attention for purely aesthetic reason

Sounds like a throwback to the good ol' days of Hammer films – blood, babes, and practical effects galore! I miss those movies, all the new horror seems so serious and psychological. Give me some vampires with fangs and victims with flowing crimson, that's the good stuff!

Finally, a horror movie that understands the power of practical effects! CGI just doesn't have the same visceral impact. The review mentioning "classic Hammer horror films" definitely piqued my interest. I loved those movies for their simplicity and focus on practical scares. Death Streamer sounds like it delivers on that front, and that's all I ask for in a good horror flick. Definitely checking it out!

Sounds like a winner! I've been a Full Moon fan since the Video Zone days so this is right up my alley. Thanks for the heads up!
