“Jirisan” (aka “Mount Jiri”) is a 2021 drama series, with 16 episodes, and can be categorized as Thriller and Suspense, Crime and Mystery, and Fantasy. SUMMARY: Two park rangers ~ one experienced and the other a rookie ~ are assigned as partners to rescue mountain hikers and climbers reporters as missing. The rookie partner served as a captain in the military, and says he sees visions. That’s how he knows where to find the missing people. The experienced partner is the top park ranger and has been climbing the mountain since she was a little girl. She knows her way around. Sometimes they are find the hikers alive and sometimes they are found dead. The question arises as to whether the deaths were accidental, suicide, or murder. A murder mystery set on a mountain? Sign me up! I love Jirisan, hiked it a few times myself. Those trails can be treacherous, even without a killer on the loose. But the scenery is breathtaking, gotta give them credit for capturing that in the show. Can't wait to see how they use the mountain itself as part of the story.

Wait, a ghost killer on a mountain? Sounds a bit cheesy, not gonna lie. I prefer my K-dramas with a little more, well, reality. Maybe the visions are metaphorical? Like, the mountain itself is a character, messing with people's minds? That could be interesting. Still, not sure about the whole ghost thing. OMG, a 9.5 rating on Viki?! I gotta watch this now! Love a good thriller, and throw in some mountain climbing danger and maybe some supernatural elements? Sounds like my kind of weekend binge. Don't really care about product placement, as long as the story is good. Plus, Jun Ji-hyun and Ju Ji-hoon? Come on, that's a dream team right there!

Hmm, this is intriguing. A mystery where the killer might be using the mountain itself to mislead investigators? Reminds me of that one Agatha Christie novel, "And Then There Were None." Love the idea of the park rangers having to use their knowledge of the terrain to solve the case. Gotta be tough when your partner might be the killer though! Sounds like a psychological thriller with some action thrown in. I'm sold!

Oh, a mountain killer with psychic visions? That's messed up! Love how they mix the supernatural with the detective stuff. Sounds like it'll keep you on the edge of your seat. Not sure about the product placement complaints though, who cares if they wear certain brands as long as the story is good, right? Just hoping it's not all talk and no action. Need some good chase scenes or rescue missions to really get my adrenaline pumping!

So, is this drama scary or not? I can handle a little suspense, but full-blown horror movies are not my thing. The ghost killer thing sounds a bit creepy, but if it's more like a mystery then I might be okay with it. Plus, the mountain scenery looks gorgeous. This whole "killer on the mountain" thing is giving me major existential dread. Like, what if there really are dangers out there we don't even know about? And what's with the yogurt drinks? Is there some symbolic meaning behind them? Maybe the whole drama is a metaphor for the human condition or something? Okay, maybe I'm overthinking it, but this show sounds like it'll make you think as well as entertain you. Intriguing!
