Prolific video game musician Dale North, whose resume includes Astral Ascent, RWBY: Arrowfell, Wizard of Legend, Wargroove 2, Dreamscaper, Sparklite, and the Nintendo Minute theme among many others, has just finished his latest: the soundtrack to Magical Delicacy. The game won’t be out for another few days, but Dale’s album of songs from the game is out today. Magical Delicacy, created by Steven Kaule, doesn’t fit into any genre easily, so let’s just say it’s sometimes a cooking game, sometimes a platformer and sometimes a Metroidvania. As a young witch and aspiring cook, you explore your neighborhood on a 2D plane, gathering ingredients and talking to neighbors. Then you go back to your kitchen and invent recipes based on what you found.
