McFarlane Toys Enters Agreement To Make Persona Figures

Up to now McFarlane Toys has made collectibles based around comic books (like the ones McFarlane owns himself) but they’re expanding. They’ve just announced a deal with Atlus to make figures out of characters from the Persona series — Persona 3 specifically. Once a niche series, Persona ballooned in popularity with each installment, Persona 5 being the current peak. The franchise has been kind of dormant since then, staying relevant on spinoffs and reprints while the team behind the series creates Metaphor ReFantazio. The last Persona release was Persona 3 Reload, the remastered version of the PS2 classic (minus the FES chapter). It came out last February on modern platforms. Whether you bought the game to relive 2000s memories or you played it for the first time, you’ll be able to stick the characters on your shelf in the near future. I loved Persona 3 back in the PS2 days, and seeing the characters come to life as figures would be amazing. Especially Yu Narukami, gotta have my protagonist on the shelf! I wonder if they'll include any cool accessories, like Evokers or Personas themselves. Here's hoping these sell well so we can get figures from Persona 4 and 5 too! Maybe even a shot at Persona 6 whenever that comes out.

Persona figures?! This is sick! I just started playing Persona 3 after a friend recommended it, and the characters are already so cool. Imagine having Joker or Minato Yuki (is that his name?) on your desk! The detail McFarlane puts into their figures is always crazy, so I can't wait to see how these turn out. Hopefully they reveal some pictures soon, because the wait is already killing me!

Persona figures, huh? Not sure this is the best fit for McFarlane. I like their Spawn figures and stuff, but Persona characters seem a little different. They might not translate well to a more realistic style. Also, Persona 3? Feels a little random. Wouldn't Persona 5 be the more obvious choice considering its popularity? I'll wait and see how these look before getting my hopes up, but for now, I'm a bit cautious.
