“Night in Paradise” is a Korean drama movie, released in 2020, categorized as a neo-noir crime film, and the setting is Jeju Island, a place viewed by many (tourists and natives) as paradise in South Korea. It’s streaming on Netflix and dubbed in English. ♦ Gangsters Sure Do Know How to Turn Paradise into HELL!! In “Night in Paradise”, Tae-Gu is a typical gangster. What is a typical gangster? A typical gangster is a person who chooses to live a violent life of crime, knowing full well the kind of people he associates with and that they have no heart. Yet they foolishly believe their sins won’t adversely impact the innocent people who have the misfortune of being associated with them by bloodline. Tae-Gu is loyal and won’t change sides to work for another crime family. The head of the crime family he refused to work for – so he was told – killed his sister and his niece. He got revenge by killing the head of the crime family.

This film appears to be a wild journey from beginning to end. Tae-Gu's narrative of being on the run with Jae-Yeon sounds intense. I can image the tension rising as they traverse the perils of gang life on Jeju Island. But, hey, love can grow in the most unexpected places, right? It's intriguing to witness how their friendship develops in the face of imminent peril. I'll definitely add this to my watch list and prepare for a thrilling night in paradise

Tae-Gu's life is like a crazy rollercoaster with no brakes! The way he's caught up in this underworld drama is gripping. And Jae-Yeon's character adds a whole new layer of complexity with her illness and sharpshooting skills. It's like they're two souls dancing on the edge of fate. I'm curious to see how their story unfolds amidst the looming threat of violence. Definitely sounds like a movie that'll keep me jumping
