This looks decent but I have low expectations for actor biopics lately. They tend to focus too much on the struggle part and skip the actual craft. Hope this one is different, the Rocky story deserves better than a shallow retelling.

Anthony Ippolito already impressed me in The Offer so I trust him with this one. Playing real people is hard, especially someone as recognizable as Stallone. If he nails the voice and posture half as well as he did Pacino, we are in for something good. studios really said no to the writer playing his own character lol. imagine having that much confidence in yourself when everyone around you says no. wild that it actually paid off

I really like the idea of making a movie about how Rocky came together because the story behind the movie is almost as interesting as the movie itself. Stallone refusing to sell the script unless he could play Rocky says a lot about how much he believed in the character. I also like that the story focuses on the period when he was still struggling instead of only showing him after he became famous. That part should give Anthony Ippolito a lot to work with. I saw him in The Offer, so I am curious about how he handles Stallone here. The biggest thing for me will be whether the movie makes the 1970s Hollywood setting feel believable. If they get that right, I think this could be a really enjoyable movie for Rocky fans.
