I think the biggest challenge here is making Oswald interesting to people who do not already care about Disney history. I know who he is, but I also know plenty of people who probably just see another cartoon rabbit. That is why I agree that the show cannot depend only on nostalgia. The character needs a personality that works on its own. The music can support that, especially if Debney gives him a theme that changes with his mood. I would rather see Oswald become his own thing than watch Disney constantly compare him with Mickey. There is enough history around Oswald already. Now they need to make people care about what happens to him next.
