It's about time Crunchyroll jumped on the bundle train, but yeah, this one feels a bit off. Offering a bundle with a random service doesn't seem super appealing, especially when so many folks are already used to the standard subscription model. I think they might be trying to capture some of the audience who's interested in more than just anime, but if it's not a good deal, I doubt many will bite.

Anyone else feel like they're just trying to catch up with other streaming services? It reminds me of when Hulu tried to bundle with Spotify, which actually made sense for a lot of people. Do you think this will lead to something more cohesive later on, or is it just a one-off?

Ok so let me get this straight. You need Amazon Prime already, then you pay extra for this bundle, and you still don't get store access unless you're on higher tiers. That is three requirements just to get a small discount. Companies really test how far they can push customers before people say enough. I'm not saying it's a scam but it definitely feels overcomplicated for what it offers.

Honestly the store restriction news worries me way more than this Starz thing. I buy figures and merch from there sometimes and now I'll be locked out unless I upgrade my tier. That feels like they are forcing people to pay more just to keep basic access we already had. The bundle is just a side story compared to that decision.

I honestly don't understand why they picked Starz. If they wanted to attract more anime fans, there are other services that would make more sense. The discount is not bad, but I don't know many people who were already planning to pay for both every month. Requiring Amazon Prime makes it even more limited. It feels like too many subscriptions just to save a few dollars. I think Crunchyroll could have started with a stronger partner if they wanted people to get excited.

I actually think the price is decent if someone already watches shows on Starz. Saving five dollars every month is not nothing. The bigger issue for me is that it only works through Prime Video. That adds another subscription that people have to think about. I would rather see Crunchyroll offer bundles directly on its own instead of making people go through another service.

lol Starz? out of everything they could pick, Starz? nobody asked for this. bundle deals only work when both services make sense together. this just feels random and forced ngl.

The store thing is going to upset a lot of collectors. People already spend a lot on limited merch and now access depends on your subscription tier. That is not a small change, that is Crunchyroll deciding who gets first access to good drops based on how much you pay monthly. Kind of unfair honestly.

This bundle only working through Amazon Prime is the real catch here. So if you don't use Prime for shopping or video, this deal basically does not exist for you. Feels less like a Crunchyroll bundle and more like an Amazon feature with Crunchyroll's name attached to it.

I don't hate the idea because companies bundle services all the time. My problem is that this bundle seems aimed at a very small group of people. I watch anime almost every day, but I never even think about Starz. If Crunchyroll wants to grow, they should make deals that introduce people to anime instead of pairing with something that already has a different audience.
