I actually like that this movie seems to be doing something different with a robot character. It feels like every AI story lately has to turn into a disaster where the machine becomes dangerous. Klara just seems happy to exist and spend time with someone she cares about. The part about her being obsessed with the sun sounds strange, but in a good way. It makes her feel less like a machine and more like someone trying to understand the world. Jenna Ortega also looks very different from the roles I'm used to seeing her play. That alone makes me curious enough to watch it.

The mother trying so hard to get rid of Klara is the thing that caught my attention. If Klara is really as harmless as she looks in the trailer, then there has to be another reason behind it. Maybe the mother doesn't trust AI in general, or maybe she sees something that nobody else notices. I like stories where a character seems suspicious at first but there is more going on underneath. The relationship between Klara and the daughter looks sweet, but I think the conflict with the mother will probably be where the real story is.

I never read the book, but the idea of a robot treating the sun almost like something magical is interesting to me. Humans take things like sunlight for granted, but a machine seeing it as something special could make for a different perspective. Sometimes simple ideas work better than complicated science fiction concepts. The trailer seems more focused on emotions than technology, and I think that's probably the right choice for this kind of story.

Jenna Ortega smiling this much feels like the biggest surprise here. Every time I see her in a movie or show, she usually has that serious look. At least based on the trailer, it doesn't look like a typical science fiction movie.

But beyond that, I think the movie has potential because it seems focused on character relationships instead of special effects. The scenes between Klara and the daughter were the strongest parts of the trailer for me. If the film can make people care about that friendship, then it won't matter whether Klara understands what the sun really is. The emotional connection is what people will remember.
