Ocarina of Time is such a classic, I'm really excited to see how they’ll update it for modern audiences. The art and mechanics will need a refresh, but the core storytelling and gameplay are timeless. I’m curious if they’ll keep the same soundtrack or give it a new arrangement. Either way, I'm here for it! What do you hope they’ll change or keep the same?

I mean, an Ocarina of Time remake is kind of a big deal, but part of me wishes they'd take that opportunity to really experiment with it instead of just polishing what's already there. I get it, nostalgia sells, but it'd be cool to see some fresh mechanics or narrative twists.

On the indie side, it's crazy how many unique takes on classic gameplay ideas pop up on itch.io. Have you tried something like "A Short Hike" or "Celeste"? They both capture that adventure spirit in their own way, but with a modern, indie twist. What are your thoughts on how they might balance the nostalgia with something new?

I think the best approach for a remake of *The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time* isn’t just to improve the graphics, but to carefully introduce something new: expand the story, develop the characters further, and add new activities, all while preserving the atmosphere of the original. Indie games like A Short Hike and Celeste are great precisely because they capture the spirit of classic games and reinterpret it in their own way. In my opinion, nostalgia works best when it serves as a foundation for new ideas, rather than becoming an end in itself.

I remember when Ocarina of Time was something I played on old hardware, so hearing about a remake immediately makes me curious. The idea of a visual upgrade is nice, but I really want to know how far they will go with it. If they only update graphics but keep everything else the same, it might feel limited for a modern release. On the other hand, if they expand towns, improve movement, and adjust dungeon flow, it could feel like a full new experience. I also wonder about the tone of the story intro since they showed only a small part. Nintendo usually keeps things quiet, so I expect more reveals later. Still, it is hard not to think about how different the world might feel with current hardware. I just hope it does not lose the simple charm that made the original so memorable.

I am not fully convinced by how little was shown. It feels like a very controlled reveal, almost like they only wanted to confirm the project exists without showing real details. That kind of approach makes it hard to judge anything properly. I understand companies like to build interest slowly, but in this case it leaves too many gaps. People are already guessing about gameplay changes, camera improvements, and map design, but there is nothing solid to base it on. I also think the marketing strategy might be intentional to keep conversations going for months. Still, I would prefer at least a small gameplay clip instead of just a short opening scene. It would help set expectations better. Right now, everything feels uncertain, and that can be both exciting and frustrating at the same time.
