Oh man, I can't believe it's finally here! I've been waiting for Superman/Spider-Man #1 like a kid waiting for Christmas morning. Gotta hit up my local shop first thing tomorrow and see what they have in store. Hope they have some sweet variants too! Who else is excited?

The first story with Doctor Octopus and Brainiac already sounds like a strong start because both villains are very smart and dangerous. I also think the part where Lois Lane meets Mary Jane is interesting because it is not only about fighting, but also about character interaction. That makes the book feel more balanced. I am also curious about the Jimmy Olsen and Carnage story because the title sounds chaotic in a good way. Overall, I feel like this is a good way to celebrate both universes without making it too complicated. I just hope the stories are not too short because sometimes anthologies feel rushed.

I am mainly excited for the “Bias” story with J Jonah Jameson and Lois Lane. For me, that sounds like pure tension because both of them are strong personalities and they both believe in their own version of truth. I think this kind of story can be more engaging than just action scenes. The action is important, but conversations like that can show deeper ideas. I am also interested in “The Bridge” because it involves Jon Kent and Uncle Ben, and that feels emotional already. I hope they treat that meeting with respect. My only concern is having too many stories in one issue. Eight is a lot, so I wonder if each one will have enough space to develop properly.

Eight stories sounds good on paper, but sometimes that means none of them will feel complete. I prefer one strong story instead of many small ones. Still, I will admit that some of these ideas are creative. The Spider-Man 2099 meeting Superboy is something I did not expect, and that alone makes me curious. I also think the Power Girl and Punisher situation sounds unusual, but I am not sure if it will work or feel forced. I will probably wait for reviews before I decide to get it. I just want something that feels meaningful, not just a collection of random team-ups.

I am here for “Jimmy Con Carnage,” not going to lie. The title alone already sold me. Jimmy Olsen getting involved with Carnage sounds like a situation that can go very wrong very fast. I like stories where normal people are placed in extreme danger because it makes the stakes feel real. Also, I expect some humor mixed with horror in that one. The rest of the stories are fine, but that one stands out the most to me. If they execute it well, it might be the most memorable part of the whole issue.
