Anime Boston 2026: Best Of The Schedule Panels, Part Two

So hyped for Anime Boston! The panels this year look incredible, especially the one about the evolution of mecha anime. I love how they're diving into the history and cultural impact. It’s also nice to see more inclusive panels focusing on representation in anime.

Plus, I can’t wait to hear about any surprise guests at the con! Think we'll see any big-name voice actors pop up? Last year was wild with those surprise announcements! What panels are you most excited about?

Wow, I actually like how the schedule feels overwhelming because it means there is always something for me to try. The tokusatsu panel is the one that caught my attention first. I only know a little about Kamen Rider, so having a beginner guide sounds useful. I also agree that catching up is hard when there are too many years of content. If it really ended, maybe this is the right time to start. I also think the manga publishing panel is interesting because people usually only see the final product, not the work behind it. I am not planning to be a publisher, but I still want to understand the process. For me, this kind of panel makes conventions feel more meaningful, not just entertainment but also learning something practical.

The Disney AMV panel sounds fun to me and I do not care if people judge it. I grew up watching both anime and Disney, so combining them feels natural. I think some fans act too strict about what is acceptable to like. I would go to that panel just to relax and enjoy music and editing ideas. Also, the magical girl panel looks important because I feel the same way that the genre is not as strong as before. I still remember older shows clearly, but newer ones are harder to recall. Maybe indie creators can really bring new ideas. I want to see if they can respect the old style but still do something new.

The mecha panel is probably where I would spend most of my time. I still think giant robot shows have a special place even if they are not as popular now. I do not feel abandoned, but I do feel that fewer people talk about them. Sometimes trends change too fast. One year it is magical girls, then it is isekai, then something else. I think it is better to have balance instead of one genre dominating everything. I want panels like this because they remind fans that older styles are still worth watching and discussing.
