Uh-oh, the trailer for the third Dune is already out and I still haven’t seen the second Dune yet. I knew very little about the Dune world prior to my […]

JustinJ: No worries! There’s definitely still time to catch up before Part Two if you’re planning to dive into the world of Dune. It’s an epic saga, and the visuals are stunning. I think the first two films do a fantastic job of encapsulating Frank Herbert's complex universe. Plus, with the buzz around Part Three already, it might be a great motivation to binge-watch! Are you excited about anything specific in the upcoming film?

I finally watched Dune 2 last month and now this trailer drops and makes me even more excited. Paul looks completely different after 17 years, like the weight of the whole universe is on his shoulders. He wanted to stop the fighting but it only got worse. That part where he sees the future but still can’t escape the problems is really interesting. Zendaya’s Chani seems angry, and I don’t blame her. The action looks much bigger than part 2. I like that Denis Villeneuve is making it more tense. Timothée Chalamet has grown so much as an actor in this role. Hope the movie explains why Paul couldn’t change the bad future he saw. December 18 is going to be crazy with Avengers coming out same day. I’m team Dune all the way.

Paul Atreides as Emperor but still trapped? That’s heavy. After everything he did in part 2, I thought he would finally have peace, but no, the cycle continues. The way they show him looking tired and serious makes me feel for the guy. Anya Taylor-Joy as Alia is going to be wild, she always brings something special. Robert Pattinson as Scytale sounds perfect for a sneaky character. I’m not super deep into the books so some things confuse me, like how a guy who sees the future still gets in trouble. But the fighting scenes look clean and fast. Villeneuve knows how to make big movies feel real. Can’t wait for December.

Okay I’m not gonna lie, I still haven’t seen Dune 2 but this trailer makes me want to watch it tonight. Paul married the girl, became the big boss, and 17 years later everything is falling apart again? That’s actually sad. He tried to end the violence but clearly failed. The trailer shows lots of sand, big battles, and serious faces. Zendaya looks ready to fight someone. I like how the director says this one is more action-packed. Timothée is killing it as Paul, you can see the change in his eyes. Also Jason Momoa coming back is cool. Hope the story doesn’t get too complicated for normal people like me. Going to watch parts 1 and 2 back to back before December.

This trailer is short but it says a lot. Paul has all the power, can see the future, yet he’s still worried about people trying to take him down. That idea is interesting to me. Most movies would say if you see the future you win everything, but here it shows even that is not enough. Chani and Paul’s relationship looks broken now. Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan will probably add more politics. I respect that Villeneuve is not afraid to make a serious third movie instead of just repeating the same thing. The visuals are beautiful as always. I’m ready to see how Paul tries to break the cycle this time. December 18 better not disappoint.

Bro I’m so hyped right now. The trailer shows Paul as this powerful Emperor but he looks stressed and older. 17 years later and the problems are bigger? That’s real. In part 2 he was this young leader, now he has to deal with consequences of his choices. Zendaya’s face in the trailer says she is not happy with how things turned out. The action parts look intense, lots of fast cuts and big explosions in the desert. Anya Taylor-Joy playing Alia is going to be amazing, I can already tell. Also having Robert Pattinson join the cast is a nice surprise. Hope they explain why seeing the future didn’t save Paul from all this mess. Counting days until December.

I read the books years ago so seeing this trailer brings back a lot of memories. Paul tried so hard to change the future but the jihad still happened and now 17 years later he’s stuck. The trailer shows that very well without giving too much away. Timothée Chalamet really looks like a tired ruler who carries too many deaths on his back. Chani’s story in the books is complicated and I hope the movie does it justice. Villeneuve made the first two movies beautiful, so I trust him with part 3. The new characters like Hayt and Scytale will make things even more tense. December 18 against Avengers will be a big movie battle, but I think Dune has the deeper story.

The trailer is only two minutes but it already makes me feel sorry for Paul. He had big dreams to stop the violence, became the most powerful man, and still everything is going wrong. That’s a strong message. The desert looks more dangerous than before, the battles look brutal. I like that they waited 17 years in the story, it gives time to show real changes in the characters. Chani seems stronger and maybe colder now. Timothée grew up so much since the first movie. Javier Bardem as Stilgar is still going to be funny I hope. This part 3 looks different from the first two and I’m here for it
