All Kill: Comeback Remember 2021, when Dead by Daylight decided to mix K-pop with serial murder and thought, “This is a good idea”? That’s how we got All Kill, the […]

Man this is actually cool. I remember when Trickster came out in 2021 I thought the whole K-pop killer thing was weird but now they are making a real sequel with a new map and everything. The neon streets finally look like what we wanted back then. Kwon Tae-Young seems interesting, a programmer who made an AI idol that turned evil. I like that they connected the story directly to the old chapter. The new perks sound useful too, especially the one that shows you pallets and windows. I will probably play this a lot when it drops. Kevin Woo doing the voice and the song is a nice touch. Dead by Daylight is really trying new things and I respect that.

Behavior saw the success of K-pop Demon Hunters, so I have a feeling that this chapter is bandwagoning in part of Behavior Interactive, because if you look at Mina, she looks exactly like a Rumi with her hair down. And, you know, the fact that one of the Saja boys is voicing the survivor obviously means they want the K-pop Demon Hunters fanbase.

Trickster was never my favorite killer so I’m not sure about playing him again even with the new skin. Still, running through night markets and nightclubs while dodging a holographic murderer sounds cool. Kwon Tae-Young’s perks seem made for good teammates which is rare. I will try the chapter when it comes out and see if it makes me like the Trickster more. At least they are doing something new.

Honestly this feels like a waste. Dead by Daylight has so many good horror franchises they could license but instead they double down on K-pop horror. I don’t care about neon lights, karaoke bars or holographic idols. I wanted a classic slasher or a monster from an old movie. The new survivor and his AI girlfriend who becomes a killer sounds silly more than scary. Perks might be useful but the theme kills it for me

This chapter proves they don’t listen to the community. Everyone keeps asking for more licensed killers but we get K-pop part 2 with neon streets and MiNA the ai idol. I don’t find any of this scary or exciting. A programmer making an AI that copies the Trickster and starts murdering? Sounds like a bad fan story. I would have loved a Resident Evil comeback or even a new original monster, not this. The perks look average and the map won’t save the weak theme. I’ll probably skip this one completely.

Okay but who actually wanted this? I checked the patch notes hoping for a license and saw “All Kill: Comeback” with more K-pop. Big let down. The neon map and new survivor sound fine on paper but the whole idol horror thing is not horror to me. I prefer dark creepy killers from movies, not holographic singers. MiNA having the same powers as Trickster with a new mori won’t make it better.

Finally they actually delivered on that neon Korean street we waited five years for. The Trickster’s Delusion map looks so fresh with the karaoke bars, night market stalls, thumping nightclub, and all those glowing posters everywhere. It feels alive and scary at the same time, nothing like the boring maps we usually get. This is exactly the new vibe Dead by Daylight needed. Can’t wait to loop the killer through these bright streets tomorrow.

I’m actually pretty disappointed. They had the perfect chance to make MiNA a brand new killer with her own unique moveset, like holographic clones, AI hacks, or projecting illusions, but instead they just turned her into a legendary skin for the Trickster. So it’s literally the same killer, just a girl version. Feels super lazy after all the cool backstory they gave her. Why even build up this whole AI horror story if you’re not going to do anything new with the gameplay? Such a missed opportunity.
