Sony’s Goat Movie Bags Jelly Roll with Bowers Music

I’m really excited about this movie. I like that it mixes basketball, animation, and music all in one. Seeing Jelly Roll in an animated role is unexpected but kind of interesting, especially with him singing too. I also think having Kris Bowers do the score is smart because he always adds emotion to the scenes. The cast is full of people I like, and the idea of a goat trying to be the best in roarball sounds funny but also inspiring. I hope the movie balances humor and heart because that is what makes family movies feel good to watch. I’m already imagining the soundtrack playing during the funny moments and the exciting sports scenes, and it feels like it could be a lot of fun for kids and adults alike. I’m curious to see how Jelly Roll’s character interacts with the other animals.

Honestly, I’m not sure how I feel about this. A goat playing basketball is a little weird to me, and adding a country music star into the mix seems random. But then again, animation allows for unusual combinations, so maybe it works. I like Kris Bowers as a composer, so I expect the music will be good. I think it will depend on whether the story feels real and emotional or if it’s just trying to be flashy. I am a fan of Caleb McLaughlin, so I’ll probably watch just to hear him as Will. The trailer looks colorful, and the animation seems detailed. I just hope it doesn’t become too busy with all the famous names involved. Sometimes less is more, and I hope this movie remembers that.

I love the idea of mixing sports, music, and comedy together. It seems like a perfect formula for a family movie. I think having Stephen Curry produce it gives credibility to the basketball elements, which is cool. Jelly Roll singing in animation is a surprise, but I am open to it. The soundtrack looks very diverse with pop, country, hip-hop, and R&B, and that will probably keep the energy high. I also like that the film wants to send a message about chasing your dreams and being grateful. I hope the humor is clever and not just silly jokes because that can make or break animated films. Overall, I feel like this could appeal to a wide audience if they handle everything carefully. I’m looking forward to seeing it in theaters.
