Kill Bill is one of Quentin Tarantino’s most well-known and most ultraviolent films; a two-part love letter to the samurai epics of old with the added bonus of people shooting out pressurized geysers of blood when their heads are separated from their bodies. Tarantino always wanted to release the two films as one, but no studio would allow or distribute a movie that was over four hours long. Ever since, the average run time of a movie has been creeping up, and most blockbusters are going on for a bladder-busting three hours these days. But Tino doesn’t have the patience to wait for it to get to four. He’s releasing Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair now! It’s the unrated super-deluxe cut of the movie he’s been showing at private screenings around the LA area these past few years…only you don’t have to live in LA to see it. Uma Thurman is Beatrix Kiddo AKA Black Mamba, but best known as The Bride, because the boss of the assassination organization she worked for turned against her, and tried to have her iced on her wedding day. But if you come at the queen, you’d best not miss. The Bride wakes […]

Will we ever have a Kill Bill 3 because I want the sequel we were promised.

I keep thinking about whether this edition will finally include the deleted villain Yuri Yubari. From what I know, she was supposed to be Gogo Yubari’s little sister, and Tarantino wanted Kou Shibasaki, the actress from Battle Royale, to play her. The scene was meant to be a crazy gunfight in the streets of LA, with Yuri as a schoolgirl wielding a pink machine gun against The Bride. Fans say it would have been amazing, but it was never filmed because Kou Shibasaki wasn’t available. Some people suggest a workaround—having Gogo’s actress, Chiaki Kuriyama, play both sisters—but it seems Tarantino really wanted Kou for the part. I am curious if any footage, even test shots or storyboards, will be included in this release. It would be interesting to see how he imagined that fight, especially since it sounds like a perfect mix of style and action that fits the rest of the film. Even if it’s not fully realized, just glimpses or an explanation would satisfy fans who have been wondering about Yuri for years.

I have been waiting for this version of Kill Bill for so many years. I saw both volumes when they came out, and I always felt like it was supposed to be one continuous story. The pacing between Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 felt uneven when split apart. If Tarantino really restored it to his original vision, then I want to see how the transitions flow and if the tone feels more consistent. I also want to know if the rumored new animated parts show more of O-Ren’s background. For me, Kill Bill is Tarantino at his most stylish and emotional.

This movie being nearly five hours sounds intense, but honestly, I think it’s worth it. I’ve always loved both volumes separately, but I do feel like they work even better as one long film. That trailer finally answered my question—yes, that one fight scene is in glorious color, and it looks incredible. I’m definitely watching this in theaters. My only hope is that they include an intermission because five hours is a lot to sit through straight. It’s a huge commitment, but for Kill Bill, I don’t mind.

Kill Bill Vol, for those who are unaware. Tarantino's last two movies, 3 and 4, were initially scheduled to be released concurrently with this one. However, those sequels are unlikely to occur due to Uma Thurman and Quentin's falling out and the fact that Kill Bill was initially her concept. It is further complicated by the fact that there was a litigation involved. It's unfortunate because, given the potential for new characters and increased action, I was rather interested in where The Bride's story might have developed after the first two volumes. This release seems to be the closest we'll ever come to Tarantino returning to that universe; all we have now are fan hypotheses and conjecture.

I am a little nervous about sitting through four hours of nonstop action and violence, but I think it will be worth it. Kill Bill has always been intense, but combining the two films into one long story should make the revenge plot feel stronger. I like that Tarantino never compromised on his vision. It shows dedication to storytelling and respect for the characters. I wonder how the pacing will feel and if there are moments of quiet between the fights to let the story breathe.

I am completely excited about this release. Kill Bill has always been stylish, and the idea of one uninterrupted story is thrilling. I especially admire Uma Thurman’s performance. She carries the film through extreme violence and emotional depth. Seeing the full narrative without breaks should make Beatrix’s revenge feel even more impactful. I hope audiences appreciate how the film balances artistry and chaos. It is one of those movies that benefits from being experienced in a theater setting.

I feel like this release is a celebration for long-time fans. It’s not just about seeing violence or action. It is about witnessing the story unfold in its intended form. I also think it could attract new viewers who never saw both films. A four-hour movie can be intimidating, but Kill Bill has enough variety to keep people engaged. Every fight, every detail, and every character moment will finally be experienced together. This is what Tarantino always wanted.
