Wait, so “Dear X” is the new thriller with Kim You Jung and Kim Young Dae? I’m intrigued but also skeptical. Thrillers can be hit or miss. Is it going to be heart-pounding or just a snooze fest? Somebody convince me before I waste 16 hours of my life!

I am most interested in Dear X. Kim You Jung has grown into such a versatile actress, and I think she fits darker roles very well. The character of Baek Ah Jin sounds complicated, not just evil for the sake of being evil. I also like that her stepbrother’s loyalty is being tested. It feels like the kind of melodrama that is less about romance and more about the line between love and obsession. If the writing handles the psychological part well, this could become one of those dramas that people analyze for years.

Last Summer caught my attention because it feels realistic. The separation of twins and the emotional distance that follows can be painful to watch but meaningful. Lee Jae Wook playing both brothers is an interesting casting choice. He already showed strong emotional range in Alchemy of Souls, so I think he can handle it. I hope the story avoids cheap melodrama and focuses on genuine regret and healing.

I am curious about Pyramid Game. I read the webtoon years ago, and it was intense. Turning it into an animated series is smart because live action might have been too violent or disturbing. The story reflects how school bullying and social ranking can destroy young people’s lives. I hope the animation keeps the psychological tension and does not water it down.

Moon River looks like the type of drama that mixes romance and fantasy in a charming way. Body-swap stories can be silly, but when done well, they show empathy between characters. I like Kim Se Jeong’s acting, and I think she can make even strange scenarios feel emotional. I also like that the Crown Prince hides his pain behind humor. That feels human.

Taxi Driver 3 seems to continue the same social justice themes as before, but with higher stakes. I liked how the first two seasons balanced action and morality. It’s not just about revenge but also about questioning how far someone should go to fix a broken system. Lee Je Hoon is one of those actors who can show pain without saying a word. I will definitely watch this one.

I feel like Dear X will divide viewers. Some will see it as empowering, others as disturbing. Personally, I want to see how far they explore Ah Jin’s self-destruction. I think Kim Young Dae’s character will be the emotional anchor. It is rare for Korean dramas to deal with abuse and manipulation in such an open way.

Moon River gives me mixed feelings. The setup feels repetitive because there are already so many historical fantasies with body swapping. However, the political conspiracy element gives it a twist. If it focuses more on mystery than comedy, it could work. The chemistry between Kang Tae Oh and Kim Se Jeong will determine whether it succeeds.

Pyramid Game sounds terrifying, mostly because it reflects real issues in schools. The concept of ranking people by popularity is sadly accurate. I like that it is animated because it allows for creativity in showing psychological pressure. I hope they do not soften the story too much just to make it comfortable to watch.
