Twisted Wonderland bursts onto Disney+ this October 29, inviting viewers into a magical isekai where iconic Disney villains transform into beautiful young men. The anime refuses to tiptoe into fantasy—it dives headfirst into a world where elegance, danger, and charm rule the hallways of a mysterious academy. The adventure begins when Yuuken Enma, a high school student and kendo enthusiast, finishes practice and heads home. Suddenly, a black carriage appears before him, shrouded in mystery. Without hesitation, it whisks him away, and he awakens in another realm. From that moment, Yuuken finds himself in Night Raven College, a prestigious academy that sorts students into seven villain-inspired dormitories. Immediately, he must adjust to a place where magic defines status and danger hides behind every smile. From the start, the anime highlights Heartslabyul, the dormitory modeled after Alice in Wonderland. At its head stands Riddle Rosehearts, the reincarnation of the Queen of Hearts. Rather than a furious monarch, Riddle emerges as a fiery red-haired boy who enforces his rules with frightening precision. Because he embodies discipline and authority, his infamous “off with their heads” attitude feels both intimidating and strangely alluring. Disney Twisted Wonderland: The Animation Next, the story shifts to Savanaclaw, […]

I like how they decided to turn Disney villains into students in a magical academy. It feels unusual but interesting, because most of the time we only see these characters as adults with authority and power. Making them younger and part of a dorm system gives them space to show different sides. For example, Riddle is not only about rage like the Queen of Hearts, but also about control and strict order. I think this makes him easier to understand. I am also curious about Yuuken. Since he has no magic, I want to see how he survives in a place where everyone has some kind of dangerous ability.

Wtf is this concept? I honestly had to read it twice just to be sure I understood. Disney villains reimagined as attractive anime boys in a magical school? It sounds so random that my first reaction is confusion. I grew up seeing these characters as terrifying, larger-than-life adults, and now they are transformed into students with dorm systems and rules. It is a strange mix of Disney, isekai, and bishonen tropes. I do not know if I should take it seriously or just laugh at the idea. At the same time, part of me is curious, because unusual ideas sometimes work better than expected. Maybe the strangeness is what will make people watch. Still, the whole idea of turning Scar or Maleficent into handsome classmates feels almost surreal. I cannot imagine how fans of the original villains will react to seeing them in this form.

This feels so gay and I love it. The way they turned the villains into handsome boys makes the whole setting full of energy that is not only magical but also very romantic between the characters. I really hope Disney decides to go further and cross the line by showing relationships that are not just friendship or rivalry. If they have the courage to make it more openly queer, it will make the show feel more modern and honest to the audience that is already picking up on those vibes. I think many people are waiting for Disney to finally take that step.

I have been following Twisted Wonderland since the mobile game came out, so hearing that it is finally getting an anime makes me excited. The way they are handling Yuuken as the viewer’s stand-in works well because he does not have magic, so he sees everything from an outsider’s perspective. It is similar to how I felt when I first opened the game and was introduced to each dorm. Heartslabyul and Riddle will set the tone strongly since his authority shows the extreme side of discipline. I am curious if the anime will keep the same humor balance with the darker moments, because that was one of the things I loved about the game.

For me, the most interesting part is Diasomnia and Malleus Draconia. Maleficent has always been my favorite Disney villain, so seeing her traits reimagined in a handsome, mysterious boy is appealing. The aura, the overwhelming magic, it feels dramatic in the right way. I hope the anime does not soften his presence. He should remain someone other characters fear and respect.

Why is it that every character shown so far is designed as a slim and youthful pretty boy? I understand bishonen appeal, but it feels like the show is missing variety. Disney villains had different body types and personalities, so why turn them all into twinks? Ursula had power and presence, Scar was more mature, even Hades had an older charisma. It would be interesting to see some huskier builds, older looking men, or even characters with a more rugged “daddy” type of energy. Right now, all of them look like they came from the same mold, just with different hairstyles and personalities. Wouldn’t the story be stronger if the cast had more physical diversity?

Some people might see this as just “pretty boy fanservice,” but I think there is more to it. Twisted Wonderland mixes nostalgia with storytelling in a way that makes it deeper than a gimmick. Disney villains already had charm, but now the anime gives them emotional sides. That combination is what could make the show memorable.

Just to point out, the original Twisted Wonderland game was written and designed by Yana Toboso, the same creator behind Black Butler. That connection explains many of the elegant and gothic elements we see here. The designs, the tone, even the way the characters carry themselves feel very much in her style. Because of that, I think the anime has strong potential. The story in the game was already well-structured, not just surface-level fanservice. My only hope is that people do not dismiss it too quickly just because the characters are handsome versions of villains. If they give it a fair chance, they might find the narrative richer than expected.

Omg I cannot wait for this 🥰 I just love bad boys so much ❤️‍🔥 The way they made all the villains into cute and dangerous anime boys is literally my dream. Riddle being strict, Leona acting arrogant, Malleus looking so mysterious… I am already blushing just thinking about them 😍 Honestly, I am going to watch this only to simp, I do not even care about the plot lol. My heart cannot handle this many pretty boys in one place 💕✨
