Wait, so you're telling me this is the new rom-com of the year? A fitness instructor and body image issues? Somebody convince me before I waste 16 hours of my life. I mean, I love a good transformation story, but is it really just a glorified workout montage? I’m curious if it dives deeper or just skims the surface of those issues. Also, that quote, “Our bodies have lied to us,” sounds like it could be a whole mood or just a dramatic line that makes you roll your eyes. What are y’all thinking?

I think the Witch Trio was a smart addition to the cast. They make the atmosphere light and funny, while also representing how people often use the gym as a social space rather than for fitness. Their dynamic with Hyeon-joong adds charm to the drama. I laughed whenever they annoyed him, but at the same time, their loyalty to the old owner was touching.

Personally, I am not sure I agree with the message that your body is the main barrier to love. That feels unfair. People should be valued for more than appearance. At the same time, I can see why the drama explores this issue because body image is such a big problem in society, especially in Korea. It is a sensitive theme, but the comedy made it easier to watch.

Jung Eun-ji as Lee Mi-ran is the highlight for me. She plays the role with warmth and humor, even during painful moments. When she hears her ex’s harsh words, her expression made me feel her heartbreak deeply. Later, her determination to change felt real, not exaggerated. Eun-ji is very talented at portraying ordinary women who are easy to connect with.

I like that Do Hyeon-joong was written as “brutally honest but in a nice way.” That balance is tricky, but it made him stand out from the usual romantic leads. He is not trying to flatter people, he wants them to face reality. It may sound harsh, but sometimes we need people who push us toward improvement.

What surprised me is that the show also touched on business struggles. The gym was failing, and Hyeon-joong had to think about survival as a business owner. This made his character more human. He was not just a perfect fitness guru. He had stress and pressure, which gave the story more depth.

I enjoyed the Michelangelo reference at the start. It set the tone that the story is about carving away unnecessary things, not just in body but also in life. For Mi-ran, she had to remove her toxic relationship. For Hyeon-joong, he had to remove his arrogance and learn patience. That artistic metaphor gave the drama more meaning.

Honestly, I think some viewers might find the boyfriend’s rejection too cruel, but it works because it pushes Mi-ran into her journey. If he stayed kind, maybe she would not have changed. It shows how painful events can sometimes be the start of personal growth.
