A sequel to this summer’s Superman movie was inevitable, especially since it was intended to launch an entirely new DC cinematic universe. But given that said universe will consist of way more films than just the Man of Steel’s, how long will the wait be for his return? Not too long, James Gunn revealed today…’bout two years. Man Of Tomorrow is the official title of Superman 2 and it will show up in the summer of 2027. At this early stage, neither a cast shot nor set footage exists yet. That just leaves concept art. Fortunately DC is stocked with top-notch artists that can provide just that. Here’s the image Gunn chose to announce Superman 2, drawn by Jim Lee: Lex Luthor has taken his rivalry with Superman to the next level. He’s built a power suit that can bestow upon him the strength to go toe-to-toe (more like fist-to-fist) with his adversary. Supes, however, knows how to overcome the suit: a simple screwdriver.
