Amazon Prime’s Fallout was one of last year’s biggest surprises. You never can be sure how these video game adaptions are going to turn out, but Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy put together one enthralling tale, the story of a sheltered Vault dweller, a very very unsheltered mutated cowboy, and an armored flunkie searching for a bigger purpose. We wanted more instantly, but we’ve grown used to seasons of streaming shows taking two or three years to show up. Not this time — we’re getting Fallout Season 2 before 2025 is through! Season One ended with Lucy MacLean’s innocence being truly shattered and her teaming up with the one person she never thought she would: the Ghoul. Lucy and the Ghoul have a strange friendship, but it works in the harsh world they live in. The trailer for Season 2 looks much more dangerous, and I like that the show will go to New Vegas. The fights with mutants and other survivors will be interesting. I also want to know more about Cooper Howard’s life before he became the Ghoul. It seems the series will give us more flashbacks and explanations. I think the show does not need to follow the games exactly; it has its own story that is interesting enough.
