“Project Wolf Hunting” is a 2022 Korean film, categorized as Action, Crime, Serial Killer, Science Fiction (Sci-Fi), and Horror; streaming free on The Roku Channel. SUMMARY: A scientific experiment that went horribly wrong created a super monster who was being transported on a ship that was also transporting violent ruthless criminals. It was a wild party! (NOT!) ♦ This Time Let’s Transport Them Via Cargo Ship In “Project Wolf Hunting”, the governments of South Korea and the Philippines entered into an extradition agreement. Violent criminals from South Korea who had fled to the Philippines were caught and returned home. In 2016, criminals coming from the Philippines via airplane landed at an airport in South Korea. The government officials thought they had taken the necessary precautions to ensure that the criminals would be moved from the airport to the prison without incident. But there was an incident. One of the victims came to the airport strapped with a bomb, and … the end result was a disaster.

I loved it. This is exactly the kind of movie I want when I say I want violence. The kills were brutal and nonstop. I don’t need emotional stories or deep plots when the action is this intense. The monster was terrifying, and the criminals weren’t better. Everyone was dangerous. The movie didn’t waste time explaining too much, and that worked for me. I can see why people say it’s over-the-top, but that’s the point. It's not realistic, but it doesn't have to be.

I think Project Wolf Hunting is trying to say something about human cruelty, especially through the monster’s origins. The scientists who experimented on a man with wolf DNA were just as evil as the criminals. It’s like the film wanted to blur the line between human and monster. But then it just throws that idea away and becomes a bloodbath. I wish it explored those ideas more. There was something meaningful underneath all the violence, but it didn’t get the focus it deserved.

I’m not used to watching horror or sci-fi, especially not Korean ones. I started watching this because I like Seo In-Guk, but I was not ready for how violent it was. I covered my eyes during many scenes. I can understand why some people enjoy this kind of movie, but it’s not for me. It made me feel tired and a little sick. I hope his next role is more like Doom at Your Service, something with less blood and more heart.

I waited a long time for this K-drama to get streamed on a platform in the USA. I DID NOT LIKE THE GORY VIOLENCE. I don't know what I was expecting, but I wasn't expecting that.
