“The Best Hit” (aka “Hit the Top”) is a 2017 Korean drama series with 32 episodes (about 35 minutes each), categorized as Time Travel, Youth, Idol Drama, Fantasy, Supernatural, and Comedy; and streaming on Viki and KOCOWA+. SUMMARY: No, you’re not dreaming. Yes, I know you’re old and I haven’t aged. But I really am who I say I am! ♦ Bro! IT’S REALLY ME!! In “The Best Hit”, the year is 1993, and K-pop was in its early stages, and the music genre was beginning to gain traction. Yoo Hyun-jae was making his mark as a pop star and then … one day … he vanished. Nobody knew what to think. Did he die? Did he run away? There’s no trace of him. He had a pager but he can’t be reached. A pager? Uuhhh … yeah. It’s 1993. Or rather … it was 1993. Fast forward to 2017. Wait! How did I get here? Let’s try to backtrack.

Time travel in K-dramas? Oh, I've seen it all, or so I thought. But this one sounds genuinely fun. A typhoon, a surfboard, and suddenly you're 20 years in the future? That's a new one. I'm especially intrigued by the 1993 K-pop setting. It's a fascinating period, and I'm curious to see how they portray the early days of the genre. Plus, the cast looks solid. Yoon Si-Yoon is always a good choice. And the fact that his son is someone he almost hit with a car? That's classic K-drama absurdity, and I love it. I'm adding this to my Viki watchlist. I think that it will be a fun watch

I'm a sucker for time travel stories, and this one sounds hilarious. A K-pop idol from the 90s ending up in 2017? Sign me up! I'm interested to see how they handle the cultural differences and the fish-out-of-water aspect. And the idea of him accidentally meeting his son? That's pure K-drama gold. I'm surprised they didn't mention Cha Eun Woo more in the review, I think many will watch because he is in it. I am going to watch it.

I'm always looking for a good comedy K-drama, and this one sounds promising. I like the mix of time travel and idol drama. And the fact that it's set in the early days of K-pop? That's a unique twist. I am also intrigued by the cast. I've seen Yoon Si-Yoon in other dramas, and he's always great. I think this will be a good one.

I am a fan of Yoon Si-Yoon, so I will watch this drama. I like the time travel plot. I am interested to see how they show the differences between 1993 and 2017.
