I’m watching this drama with my wife, and we both agree it’s not just entertainment—it’s a powerful story. Baek Seol-Hee feels like someone real. She’s not perfect, but her anger and frustration come from love. When the law turns against the victims, someone has to stand up. I respect how this show doesn’t pretend rich people are harmless. We all know some can do anything and never pay. I also appreciate that it shows police corruption without overdoing it. It feels grounded. The acting by Jang Shin-Young is solid. She plays a mother with restraint and pain, not over-the-top crying. I rate the series 8.5 so far, and I hope it doesn’t get too long-winded as it hits 120 episodes. That’s always my concern with daily dramas.

I cried so much during episode 7. When Madam Baek found out her daughter was hurt and the police were lying to her, I felt her pain. How many mothers must go through this in real life? It’s not just a show. It’s a mirror. Women without power have to scream louder just to be heard. The scene when she confronted the older sister was amazing. That actress has fire in her eyes. I love dramas where moms become warriors for their children. I’m hooked.

From a narrative standpoint, this show does an effective job establishing power imbalance and moral decay. Baek Seol-Hee is written with strong conviction, but she is also layered with doubts, exhaustion, and real world limitations. It’s this balance that gives the show its realism. While the pacing of early episodes may seem slow to some viewers, it is important for building long-term emotional investment. The production design is modest but competent, and Seo Ha-Joon’s character brings some needed complexity to the storyline. I hope the plot stays grounded and doesn’t rely too much on exaggerated twists. So far, it earns a cautious thumbs-up from me.

This drama made me think about how justice works differently for rich and poor people. Sometimes, doing the right thing only brings pain. But Madam Baek didn’t stop. I admire that. Not everyone would risk their safety to stand up to powerful people. And Mi-So, even though she’s young, acted with bravery too. I don’t think this is just about one assault. It’s about a system that protects bullies. The scenes are sometimes hard to watch, but maybe that’s the point. It should make us uncomfortable.

Oh wow, this drama is intense, but I really like it! The mother-daughter relationship is so touching. I love how strong Seol-Hee is. She’s like, “No, I won’t take your money. I want justice!” That scene gave me goosebumps. I like that Mi-So is also smart and doesn’t let herself become a victim. The villains are really evil though. Like, cartoon-level bad sometimes. Still, it keeps me watching. I think this will become one of my favorite long dramas. Fighting, Madam Baek!

Of course the cop took the money. Of course the case got buried. That’s what always happens. These dramas are depressing because they feel too real. Still, I’m watching. I want to see the rich girl finally panic. Not every show needs a happy ending, but it better not let the bad guys win again. I’m tired of that.

As a long-time fan of K-dramas, I must say this one stands out. Yes, we’ve seen revenge plots before, but this feels personal. The mother is not young or rich or magical. She’s just strong-willed and smart. The show captures the helplessness many feel when faced with powerful enemies. I also like how it focuses on family and community support. The acting is excellent. The pacing could improve in some episodes, but overall, it’s worth following. I’m recommending it to my friends.
