Ready to go on a Broventure? Developer Alice Games will soon be introducing Broventure: The Wild Co-op, their new multiplayer roguelike adventure, on Steam next month. You and your animal friends have decided to set up camp in a place where you don’t appear to be wanted. Every so often, giant hordes of enemies will march toward you from all angles and it’s up to you to hold your defenses. Alice calls the experience “frantic” and they mean it — battle arenas approach musou or bullet hell territory with the amount of things coming at you. How do you prepare for such an onslaught? Multiple ways. The game isn’t all fast-paced melee combat — in the downtime between battles, you can build up your base, craft stronger weapons, unlock new characters and learn new abilities. Form strategy plans with the other players so that you can face anything that comes your way (the game can also be played solo). Key Features: Online Co-op for up to 4 Players – Team up for intense, action-packed runs. Fast-Paced Roguelike Gameplay – Battle endless waves of enemies and brutal bosses. I really like how this game mixes base building with fighting. It’s not just action all the time, which would get boring. I enjoy games where you also have to think about how to survive in the long run. Planning your base and unlocking new skills sounds fun to me. I also like that the characters are animals. It’s more creative than usual. I will try this game when it comes out. Maybe I’ll even play solo if I can’t find people to join.

This looks good to me. The 2D style reminds me of other games I played before. I like games with roguelike systems because they don’t feel the same every time. I play with my brother sometimes, so we are always looking for new co-op games. This one could be our next try.

What got my attention most is the phrase “frantic.” I like when a game challenges my reflexes and makes me move fast. Bullet hell and musou elements are not easy to mix, but if Alice Games pulls it off, it might be something special. The progression system sounds promising too. I usually enjoy unlocking synergies and trying different builds. I’m curious how balanced the solo mode will be though. Sometimes co-op games feel empty alone.

I’m not a big fan of animal characters in games, to be honest. I prefer more serious designs. But the gameplay looks strong enough that I might try it anyway. The procedural generation part is interesting. It means I won’t get bored fast. I also like that they let you build a camp. Games with a base system give me something to work for even after dying.

I have played many roguelikes, and I can say most of them do not respect your time. You die, and you lose everything. But this game seems to have meta-progression, which makes it better for people like me who can only play for short periods. Also, four-player co-op is a nice touch. I hope the community is active enough to always find a match.
