Continuing my recommendations for Korean ghost movies that are “unusually strange” (in my opinion). Movie (2) titled “Cadaver” (aka “The Cut”) had a low rating but I prefer to watch legal or medical dramas and make my own decisions. The lead actress is an award-winning actress who is very popular these days, so I was interested in her earlier work. Her acting career dates back to 2003. She had a minor role in “A Jewel in the Palace”, the K-drama that started the Korean Wave.

I recall watching Cadaver a long time ago and being confused by the finale. Reading this reminds me why. The narrative has an intriguing beginning, but after the first fatality, it feels like the storyline is rushing. I adore horror and mystery, but this one combines too many elements. It isn't horrible, but it's not particularly obvious. Still, the thought of a haunted cadaver is unique. That aspect piqued my interest the most. I wish they had concentrated on that rather than the dream sequences. Nonetheless, Han Ji-Min performed admirably in her role. She always brings quality to any job.

This sounds cool. I haven’t seen Cadaver yet but it seems like something I’d enjoy. Medical school plus horror? I’m in. I like movies where people are forced to question what’s real and what’s not. The part about the cadaver being too beautiful feels like a strange detail, though. Not sure how I feel about that. But I’m curious now.

Thanks for sharing this! I had never heard of Cadaver before. The setup reminds me of an episode from a forensic crime show. I think the concept is creative: a dead body that possibly haunts the living. It’s creepy in a medical setting because that feels too real. I study biology, so I find these stories interesting when they include science in a fictional way. I will look for this movie later.

Han Ji-Min being in this makes me want to watch it. I love her in “Behind Your Touch.” If this was her early work, it’s interesting to see how she started. Korean horror from the 2000s has a special vibe. It’s more quiet and psychological than modern horror. Maybe it’s worth checking out even if it’s not perfect.
