It was merely a day ago that Disney announced we’d be getting Andor Season 2 in April of 2025; now they’re letting us see that season for the first time — though barely. It’s part of a sizzle reel hyping various shows coming to Disney+ and Hulu this next year. There isn’t much here but it proves the show and its effects shots are close to done. We see Cassian and Luthen arguing, Stormtroopers descending on a chaotic riot, and most intriguingly, Andor hijacking a TIE Fighter. Things are heating up! At least, that’s what the footage suggests. The video montage also includes the very first publicly released footage from Alien: Earth, the prequel to the sci-fi horror/action series and the first time it’ll be adapted into a TV show. Noah Hawley is handling it, and it’s supposed to take place earlier than any Alien story has ever happened before — even earlier than Prometheus, which by the way, Hawley plans to ignore. “The idea that, on some level, it was a bioweapon created half an hour ago, that’s just inherently less useful to me,” he’s quoted as saying. Good man. The first clips from Daredevil: Born Again are also […]

I’m mostly here for Daredevil. It’s good to see Matt and Kingpin back in action. That coffee scene has me intrigued—are they friends, enemies, or frenemies this time? Ironheart also looks fun. Riri Williams seems like a great successor to Iron Man, and I hope her show balances humor and action like the MCU at its best.

Honestly, Disney+ feels oversaturated with content at this point. While Andor Season 2 and Alien: Earth sound promising, I’m skeptical about whether they’ll stick the landing. Hawley dismissing Prometheus outright is bold, but I hope he doesn’t oversimplify the lore. The Star Wars universe, meanwhile, risks losing its magic with too much material. Hopefully, Andor avoids that pitfall.

I enjoyed Andor Season 1, but I hope they don’t fumble the pacing in Season 2. The riot and TIE Fighter scenes sound cool, but will they deliver on the promise of the Rebellion’s gritty origins? As for Alien: Earth, I’m intrigued by the idea of an earlier timeline, but prequels have a mixed track record. Noah Hawley has a lot to prove here.

Noah Hawley’s comments on bioweapons and Prometheus are refreshing. The best sci-fi isn’t just about spectacle; it’s about exploring profound questions. If Alien: Earth can delve into the origins of the Xenomorphs while maintaining that thematic depth, it could be groundbreaking. Similarly, Andor Season 2 looks poised to deepen its exploration of rebellion, ethics, and sacrifice.

YOOOOO! Cassian stealing a TIE Fighter?! That's what I'm talking about! Season 1 was awesome, but this feels like things are going full-on rebellion. Can't wait to see more of Cassian and Luthen working together (or maybe not-so-together, judging by that clip).

Finally, some Alien: Earth footage! About time they bring the franchise to TV. Intrigued about this prequel going before Prometheus. Hopefully, it captures the original's mix of dread and suspense. Hawley ignoring Prometheus? Good call. That movie left me with more questions than answers.

These teases are killing me! The TIE Fighter hijack and chaotic riots in Andor look intense. I’m glad we’re not far from its release. Alien: Earth also has me intrigued—Noah Hawley has a great track record. Still, I wish Disney would stop teasing and just give us full trailers already!
