“Drive” is a 2024 Korean film, categorized as Action, Crime, Thriller and Suspense, and streaming on Viki. (NOTE: Just sharing some entertainment trivia. The film is distributed by a Korean film distribution company known as Merry Christmas, which is the 1st to be backed by Chinese capital. The movie has nothing to do with the holiday. Other movies they’ve distributed include: “Space Sweepers”, “Quantum Physics” and “The Dude in Me”.) SUMMARY: Is it a real kidnapping or a fake kidnapping being used to earn money? ♦ This is Real!! Call the Police!! HELP!! Han Yoo-Na started as a struggling vlogger. The first video she uploaded had zero viewers. But she didn’t become discouraged and give up. She kept on keeping on until finally, she hit upon a “success recipe”. LYING! She shouldn’t have but she did. Not all of it was a lie. Just the part about her father committing suicide. He did die though. That part was true. Telling the story about her father’s suicide and how she struggled to continue made viewers sympathize with her. Many not only sympathized but empathized. The result was that her viewers increased to 700,000 followers and she was earning money! She did […]

Whoa, Han Yoo-Na sounds rough. I mean, faking your dad's suicide to get views? That's messed up. But then getting kidnapped while being a massive influencer? Talk about dramatic content. This movie sounds like it's gonna be dark AF, but like, in a "can't look away" kind of way. Definitely gotta check it out and see if she uses her influencing skills to, you know, influence her way out of this mess.

This "real or fake kidnapping" plot sounds intriguing. The summary mentions social media abuse and its consequences. That's a heavy topic, but important to explore. A 5.6 rating on IMDb seems low, but Viki viewers gave it an 8.1? Interesting discrepancy. I usually trust MyDramaList ratings, so a 7.4 is decent. Definitely gotta see this movie and form my own opinion. Maybe I can even predict the twist...

The premise sounds like it could be a Black Mirror episode. Social media manipulation, kidnapping with a twist – sounds dark and thought-provoking. The ratings discrepancy is interesting. Maybe the movie is a slow burn that some viewers appreciate while others find boring. I trust the author's rating though, so I'll definitely give it a shot. Korean thrillers have been hit-or-miss lately, but this one sounds promising.

I don't usually care about ratings, so the mixed reviews don't bother me. As long as it's entertaining and keeps me guessing, I'm happy. Park Ju-Hyun is a good actress, so that's a plus. Maybe it'll be a fun mind-bender, who knows?

Hold on, this movie is on Viki? Perfect, I have a subscription! Social media drama with a kidnapping plot? Sounds like a wild ride (oops, did I just say that?) I mean, an intense and suspenseful watch. I can already tell I'm gonna be glued to the screen. Who cares about ratings when you have a movie marathon planned? Adding "Drive" to

They say many social media influencers will do anything to make money. With deepfake and other tech stuff that can make scenarios “look real”, and so many scams robbing people of their money … it could be very hard to convince people. It would be sad if you had to die for them to believe you. (P.S. I used to use IMDb to decide what to watch, But these days, I am starting to check IMDb to see how much I disagree with their ratings. LOL.)

Your pun is cute and yeah … the ride was wild! I really had to hold back writing this review because I did not to spoil it for those who have not watched it. By the way, there is another film called “Drive” on Netflix, but it's not a Korean drama. It's Bollywood.

It's funny but Park Ju-Hyun was not on my list of favorite South Korean actresses. But without even realizing it, I have watched a lot of K-dramas where she had a lead role. She is a very good actress.
