What Am I made for?
“Heretic” (2024) is a horror film that stars Hugh Grant as Mr. Reed, a disciple of Satan, who wants to test the faith of the faithful by playing a psychological game of cat-and-mouse with them. First. If the background music used in the trailer is an indication of the rest of the soundtrack … count me in! Second. Hugh Grant playing a scary guy? How intriguing. Count me in! For me, Hugh Grant is the king of romantic comedies. Even if he is in a serious role, I don’t think I’ve ever seen him play a bad guy or felt threatened by any of his characters. So for a viewer to describe him as “scary” or “terrifying”, I’m like: “WHO? Hugh?” WOW! Talk about stepping outside of his comfort zone. I have no doubt he can pull it off. The guy is a great actor! “Heretic” (2024) is a psychological thriller movie about two young Mormon missionaries who knocked on the wrong door! Oh my! As a child, I can’t tell you how many times my mother would run and hide if she peeked out the window and saw Mormon missionaries knocking on the front door. If they happened to see […]

I'm intrigued by the idea of a horror movie set in the Mormon culture. The posters are definitely eye-catching. I'm not sure if I'll watch it, but it's definitely on my radar. I feel bad whenever I close doors to Mormon Missionaries though as most of them are like 19 year old kids forced to do it.

I'm definitely watching Heretic! The premise sounds really interesting, and I love A24's horror films. The posters are a great way to get people talking about the movie.

I'm a big fan of A24's horror films, and I'm excited to see what they do with Heretic. The idea of a religious horror film is something I haven't seen before, and I'm curious to see how they handle the subject matter. The posters are definitely eye-catching, and they do a good job of capturing the film's tone.

Mormon missionaries vs. Satanic disciple? Sounds like a wacky premise, but Hugh Grant as a villain? Now that's interesting. I might check out the trailer just to see how he pulls it off. Still, hoping it's not another jump-scare horror flick.

Psychological horror with a religious twist? Sign me up! A24 has a good track record with horror films, and the early buzz about the soundtrack has me hyped. Plus, Hugh Grant as a creepy villain? Can't wait to see him break away from his usual roles.

Two young missionaries against a sinister force? Rooting for them already! Psychological horror is more my style than jump scares, so this sounds promising. Curious to see how their faith is tested and if they can overcome the challenge.

Hugh Grant in a horror film? I can't imagine him being scary, but the idea is hilarious. Is it a straight-up horror, or will there be some dark humor mixed in? Either way, I'm intrigued and might check it out for the comedic value, even if it's unintentionally funny.

The film is based on a novel by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods. I'm curious to know if the film stays true to the source material or if there are significant changes. I'm also interested in reading the book to see how the story is developed in a different medium.

The trailer for Heretic is both intriguing and unsettling. The music is atmospheric, and the visuals are haunting. I'm particularly interested in the scene where Hugh Grant's character is revealed.
