“Seoul Busters” is a 2024 Disney+ original Korean drama series, with 12 episodes, and can be categorized as Crime, Police Procedural, Action, and Comedy. SUMMARY: In “Seoul Busters”, an entire team of investigators botched an investigation so badly that their boss got fired and they were “exiled to Siberia”. Basically their superiors sent them to a small town where they figured they couldn’t cause too much trouble. They kept wondering who was going to be their captain. On the very first case they were going to close it as a suicide. That’s when their boss showed up and basically told […]

Intriguing premise! A bumbling detective unit getting a reality check from a hotshot captain? Sounds like there's potential for both laughter and suspense. The ratings seem pretty divided, though. Dramabeans giving it a 9 piques my interest. I'm curious about the "Detective Conan" scene – is it a reference to the anime? Gotta check this out and see if it lives up to the hype!

lighthearted crime comedy with a focus on character development? That sounds like a good way to unwind after a long day. The episode count (12) is perfect for a binge-watch during the weekend. The mix of funny moments with actual detective work is appealing. Disney+ is a convenient platform too. I might give this a try – it could be a good stress reliever!

A team of veteran detectives getting schooled by a rookie captain? That's a tough pill to swallow. I'm more interested in realistic portrayals of police work, not slapstick humor. The high rating from Dramabeans is interesting, but the goofy moments mentioned in the review make me hesitant.

My kids are heavy into anime and I learned about Detective Conan through them. I watched a few episodes and it is so interesting. I was happy that I understood the reference in "Seoul Busters". Sometimes they say stuff in K-dramas and I'm like ... Who? What? Duh? But when one of the team asked: Do you think maybe our new boss is Detective Conan?, I cracked up!

Yeah. It is. One of the team members who is very candid and honest told him: "You're not very likable". And the boss, "Yeah. I get that a lot!" LOL.
