Video game maker Bartic Studios has released the trailer for Lurch, their multiplayer co-op horror game coming later this month. That’s Lurch, not Lunch — there are no sandwiches in the game. The premise is that you and the other players are stuck inside a haunted house and have to find a way out. You must work as a team and solve puzzles while avoiding the murderous demons that stalk the shadows. The longer you survive, the stronger the monsters get, so be quick about it! In many ways it’s like a series of escape rooms, which is fitting, because the whole escape room concept was inspired by video games in the first place. A 4-person co-op horror game where teamwork is the key as players face malevolent demons in a mysterious mansion. I love escape room games, but this sounds way more terrifying. Imagine having to solve puzzles while monsters are breathing down your neck! The whole "adaptive AI" thing is awesome too. It means every playthrough could be totally different. August 24th can't come soon enough. Gonna grab my friends and see if we can survive the night!

Hmm, Lurch sounds interesting! I haven't played a horror game in a while, but the co-op aspect sounds fun. It's always more exciting to be scared with friends, right? Plus, I like the escape room vibes. Hopefully the puzzles aren't too crazy hard, though. I'm not a genius, but I do enjoy a good challenge. Maybe I can convince my wife to play with me. She hates horror movies, but maybe a video game will be different? Worth a shot, at least!

I love games that have different outcomes based on your choices. It means I can play it over and over again without getting bored. The whole "demons adapting to your actions" thing is intriguing too. I wonder how strategic I can get to outsmart the AI?
