For Dungeons & Dragons’ 50th anniversary, Wizards recently gave their long-standing villain Vecna a fearsome makeover. Soon you’ll be able to experience the pleasure of having that gruesome character stare at you all day when Super 7 releases its collectible Vecna as part of its D&D Ultimates line. Inspired by the illustrations in the 5th Edition DM guide book, Vecna is fully articulated to be molded into whatever pose you want, and he comes with interchangeable heads and hands, as well as accessories like the Sword of Kas, the Afterthought Dagger, the Eye of Vecna and the Book of Vile Darkness. While Vecna can hold the Book, it is sized so that it will fit inside his ribcage if that’s what you want. The figure is 7 inches tall. But there’s more: there’s Tiamat! The Queen of Evil Dragons from the cartoon series! Tiamat drawfs Vecna at an impressive 15.6” tall, 19.6” long, and 19.7” wide. Her five fanged heads are constructed of soft vinyl and she contains points of

Man, I saw a picture of Vecna from Dead by Daylight and I gotta say, it's like they took the Stranger Things version and cranked it up to eleven. Like, the Stranger Things Vecna is already this terrifying, mind-controlling freak, but the Dead by Daylight one is even more... I don't know, otherworldly.

The Dead by Daylight version looks way more skeletal and decayed, with this eerie, almost translucent quality to him. It's like they took everything creepy about the original and amplified it. And don't even get me started on those claws! They're longer, sharper, and just plain more menacing. It's like they combined the Stranger Things Vecna with some kind of Lovecraftian horror monster. Definitely not something you'd want to run into in a dark alley.

These figures look INSANE! Especially Tiamat! I've never played D&D before, but my friends are always talking about it and these figures just make me want to jump right in. The detail on Vecna is creepy but SO cool, and Tiamat is HUGE! I wonder how much these cost though... gotta convince my parents this is a worthy investment!

Finally, a decent Vecna figure! The ones out there before just didn't capture his true essence. The interchangeable heads and hands are a nice touch, being able to pose him mid-spellcast is awesome. Now, the big question: can the Book of Vile Darkness actually open and close? That would be the ultimate collector's dream. As for Tiamat, the size is impressive, but I'm a bit worried about the soft vinyl heads. Might not hold up well over time.

Wow, the sculpt work on these figures is fantastic! Super 7 really captured the menacing presence of both Vecna and Tiamat. I especially love the texture on Vecna's exposed ribcage and the different expressions on Tiamat's heads. These figures would be amazing references for anyone wanting to draw these iconic D&D villains.

These figures take me back! Remember those old plastic D&D figures we used to play with as kids? They were nowhere near this detailed, but they sparked our imaginations just the same. I might have to grab a Vecna figure for old time's sake. Tiamat is a bit much for me though, unless they come out with a mini version!
