It’s been a chaotic 2024, but peace is finally within grasp for the world now that the Rooster Fighter is here. Today at SDCC, Viz Media announced a partnership with Adult Swim to produce an anime series based on the manga of the same name. Created by Shu Sakuratani, Rooster Fighter is what it sounds like and isn’t too deep or philosophical beyond that. It’s basically a kaiju story where the good side just happens to be a chicken. Its main character, Keiji, is described as a “cock-about town” mutant rooster with superhuman strength, who must regularly defend his village from gigantic demons. “Guaranteed to elicit deeper laughs than any upcoming comedy anime, Rooster Fighter is bizarre, absurd, and proudly boundary-blurring,” boasts Viz. “Filled with hyperbolic scenes of high action and comedy, this is one mother-clucker who delivers a showstopper.” “Ever since becoming a manga artist, my biggest goal was to have my work adapted into an anime,” says Sakuratani. “So, I can’t tell you how happy I am to

If you think about it, Cock fights is a thing and there was a case of a rooster killing a cop. I swear I telling the truth, You can google it.

OMG! Did anyone else see the news about Rooster Fighter getting an anime?! I've been obsessed with the manga for ages, Keiji is hilarious. Can't wait to see all the crazy fight scenes animated, it's gonna be epic! Plus, a rooster hero? How can you not love that? #RoosterFighter #SDCC #AnimeHype

Okay, so a rooster hero fighting monsters? I get that it's supposed to be absurd, but is it actually funny? "Bizarre" doesn't always translate well to anime. Still, Adult Swim does a good job with wacky stuff, so maybe it'll be worth checking out. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for the trailer.

A rooster hero? That's awesome! I'm totally down for something different. I mean, we've had a slime conquering a world, animals acting like humans, and even cells having their own drama. So, a rooster fighting monsters? Why not? It's refreshing to see something unexpected. I'm curious about how they'll handle the character development. Can a rooster actually be deep? We'll see. The action scenes sound promising, and Adult Swim is the perfect home for something this out there. I'm definitely adding this to my watchlist. Let's hope they don't overdo the comedy and actually give us a compelling story.

So, a mutant rooster fighting demons, huh? Sounds like my kinda anime. But let's be real, the real monsters are in the kitchen. I mean, have you SEEN the way those KFC cooks handle that chicken? It's like they're summoning dark magic or something. I swear, those drumsticks are possessed. You ever bite into one and it's like, "Whoa, this thing has a soul!" Or maybe it's just the secret herbs and spices, but I'm pretty sure there's a dash of demon blood in there. Jokes aside, a rooster hero? That's a bold move. I'm intrigued.

I'm all for high-octane action and crazy humor, and who doesn't love a good underdog story? A mutant rooster hero taking on giant demons?

Not sure I've ever seen an anime with a chicken as the main character. Could be refreshing, or it could be a gimmick. Adult Swim is known for pushing boundaries, so we'll see how it goes. Hopefully, the story and characters are strong enough to stand on their own, and the humor doesn't get too out of hand. I'll reserve judgment until I see a trailer.
