On the first day of SDCC, Dark Horse kicked things off by announcing they’ve struck a new deal with Wizards of the Coast to start a line of comics based on their most popular properties: Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering. D&D has been no stranger to the comics rack lately, but there have been relatively few MTG comics in comparison. Dude, YES! This is the news I've been waiting for! Dark Horse did an amazing job with those Stranger Things D&D comics, so I have high hopes for these. Fresh MTG stories sound awesome too – there's so much lore to explore! I can't wait to see what kind of art styles they go for.

Finally! MTG deserves more comics. Back in the day, there was that Gerrard's Quest series, but it feels like forever since then.
