Last weekend the season finale of Kaiju No. 8 aired in Japan and streamed worldwide. With anime, we usually find out whether or not we’re getting more episodes when the finale airs, and the news came in typical fashion: a “sequel series” is on the way. The language in Crunchyroll’s press release calls this a “sequel,” not a “second season”….we’re not sure what that is about but we’re preserving the terminology in case it means something. The dub version of Kaiju No. 8 is two weeks behind and will premiere its version of the season finale July 13.
