“Born Again” is Korean drama series released in 2020, has 32 episodes, and can be categorized as Legal drama, Romance, Crime and Mystery, and Supernatural or Fantasy. ♦ Our Hearts are Joined and We Will Meet Again. In “Born Again”, we are introduced to the three (3) main characters who are first connected through the classic Emily Brontë novel “Wuthering Heights”. In that novel a character named Heathcliff loved a woman who always remained “inaccessible” to him, in this life. After their deaths, they were finally together walking on the moors surrounding Wuthering Heights, which is a place where they shared innocent times as children and became lovers when they grew up. The tangled and mangled story of Gong Ji-chul, Jung Ha-eun, and Cha Hyung-bin begins in the 1980s. Gong Ji-chul was a victim of child abuse. Worse than that, he kept his father’s dark secret. His father was a serial killer who picked female victims that carried a yellow umbrella. His father was never caught as he fled the

"Born Again" was quite the experience! It had everything - reincarnation, past-life connections, and a murder mystery. The "Wuthering Heights" theme added a cool literary layer. The ratings were all over the place, but the whole concept was so intriguing, I had to give it a shot. And let me tell you, Lee Soo-hyuk as a grim reaper was unforgettable!

Love triangles with a past-life twist aren't usually my thing, and that low Amazon rating made me hesitant. The reincarnation element seemed interesting at first, but it felt like a crutch at times. The "evil gene" prosecutor was a bit cliche, too. However, the mystery surrounding the past-life murders kept me watching until the end.

Oof, a love triangle with a past life twist? Not really my cup of tea. And a 2.7 rating on Amazon? That's a major red flag. I get the whole reincarnation thing can be interesting, but it sounds like they might be relying on that gimmick a little too heavily here.

Maybe I'm wrong, but the whole "evil gene" prosecutor character sounds a bit cliche. Give me a good, well-developed villain over a genetic predisposition to crime any day.

The first few episodes got me really into it. The whole past-life thing was super interesting, and the mystery around the murders kept me guessing. But then it all went downhill. The storyline got all tangled up, the characters started making no sense, and the ending was rushed and unsatisfying.

Maybe they just tried to shove too much into 32 episodes, I don't know. It's a shame because the acting was pretty good, especially Lee Soo-hyuk. But overall, a letdown.

This drama has everything I love: mystery, romance, a touch of the supernatural, and fantastic performances by Jang Ki-yong, Jin Se-yeon, and Lee Soo-hyuk. Sure, the plot got melodramatic at times, but honestly, that's part of the charm for me. Sometimes you just want to indulge in a good, emotional rollercoaster ride. And "Born Again" definitely delivers. I've watched it twice and am already considering a third!

"Born Again" sounds more like "Recycled Tropes." Past-life love triangles and murder mysteries? Been there, done that in multiple lifetimes. Maybe if they threw in a time-traveling toaster oven, I'd be intrigued. But hey, Lee Soo-hyuk as a prosecutor? Now that's a trial I wouldn't mind attending.

A legal drama with a "criminal gene" theory? Objection! That prosecutor needs to brush up on his genetics textbook. Still, the courtroom scenes were mildly entertaining, even if the plot surrounding them was a bit melodramatic. Maybe they should have focused more on the legal aspects and less on the past-life baggage.
