Scavengers Reign: The Popgeeks Review

Last year the streaming service Max dropped a new sci-fi cartoon out of nowhere called Scavengers Reign. Despite turning out to be very good, and even revolutionary, it’s not a cartoon Max is interested in continuing (big shock there). The encouraging news is that the show has been passed to Netflix, where you can currently find it on the main page. Netflix might order more episodes itself — but that depends on you. Its numbers for the next few weeks will determine its future. So this is me making a passionate plea for everyone reading this piece to pick up their remotes and start streaming this thing. Because it really is that good. Scavengers Reign begins with a cargo ship, the Demeter, traveling through space with a mostly cryo-frozen crew. A handful of humans remain awake to make sure the trip to a distant planet runs smoothly, but thanks to interference from someone who thought they could shave a few miles with a shortcut, the Demeter has now marooned itself

Is this a life or death situation like Warrior Nun where we have to watch or it will get cancelled?

A cartoon about body horror on an alien planet? Sounds intense... and maybe a little too "out there" for me. You sure it's not just another bug monster show? But a planet with all-new creatures? That is kinda cool. Maybe I'll give it a shot, but only if you promise to warn me before the gross parts

Oh man, Scavengers Reign just showed up on Netflix! Remember how everyone was talking about it last year but it got cancelled? So glad it found a new home! I haven't seen it yet, but I'm gonna watch it just to support cool, weird cartoons like this. Hopefully, enough people do the same and they'll make a second season!

Max cancelled this masterpiece last year and then renews... VELMA?
Life is unfair hope Netflix audience will give it a deserved 2nd season

I missed this on Max. I'm glad it made it to Netflix and that I had another chance to catch it. Such a beautiful show with some many influences. What a masterpiece.
