“Hierarchy” is a 2024 Korean drama series, with 7 episodes, categorized as a Crime, Murder Mystery, High School, Youth, and Revenge Drama. ♦ Was it a Hit-And-Run or Was it Murder? “Hierarchy”, Kang Ha is introduced as the “scholarship student”. Wealthy people need others to think they genuinely care about those who are financially disadvantaged. They use a fancy word for their so-called charitable acts. It’s called “noblesse oblige”. According to the dictionary, that means “the inferred responsibility of privileged people to act with generosity and nobility toward those less privileged”. But the real meaning is that rich folks want to wear two faces. One face is shown to the public and it’s supposed to make them look like they are generous and kind and caring and … whatever! The other face, i.e. Their true real face, they try not to show to the general public because … because it’s UGLY!! They are evil, self-centered, uncaring, cold-hearted … and that’s some of their nice personality traits. The wealthy adults behave

Another revenge story in a high school setting? Sounds cliché. Rich kids behaving badly, a convenient "scholarship student" seeking vengeance... how original. Maybe I'll give it a shot if I need a mindless escape, but I doubt it'll challenge my brain much.

Yes! A new limited series with a murder mystery, revenge plot, AND a love triangle? Sign me up! I love the whole "undercover in the enemy's camp" trope, and the fact that the actors are new faces is exciting. Hopefully, they'll bring fresh energy to the story. 7.5 rating? That's good enough for me!

This drama feels like it has the potential to be more than just your average teen soap opera. The whole "noblesse oblige" concept is ripe for exploration. Do the rich truly care about the less fortunate, or is it just a PR stunt? And how does that translate to the student body at Jooshin High? Is there a hidden rebellion brewing beneath the surface? I'm also curious about the character of Yoon He-ra. The queen of jealousy and manipulation? Sounds like there's a story waiting to be unraveled there. This drama could be a scathing social commentary disguised as a high school whodunit. Now that's something I'd tune in for.

This reminds me of those classic revenge thrillers where the outsider infiltrates the inner circle to take down the corrupt from within. The question is, will Kang Ha lose himself in the process of seeking revenge? There's a fine line between seeking justice and succumbing to rage. The love triangle element adds a layer of complexity. Will Jung Jae-i's feelings for Kang Ha cloud her judgment? Or will she use them to her advantage? And what about Kim Ri-an? Is he a spoiled bully, or is there more to him than meets the eye? The show has the potential to be an addictive blend of mystery, revenge, and high school drama, with a healthy dose of social commentary on the side. Sign me up!

I gotta add this to my ever-growing list of K-dramas to watch! 7 seems like a decent rating, and with only 7 episodes, it's a manageable commitment. I like that it's a limited series - a self-contained story with a clear beginning, middle, and end. No cliffhangers or unnecessary dragging out of the plot.

I wonder how this compares to "Elite" on Netflix? Seems like a similar premise - privileged kids, dark secrets, and a murder to solve. Maybe I'll watch "Hierarchy" first for something new, then go back and see if the comparisons hold up.

Okay, so I just finished "Hierarchy" in like two days. Don't judge! It wasn't the most groundbreaking plot, but it was entertaining enough. The whole "rich vs. poor" thing felt a bit cliche at times, but the mystery surrounding the death kept me guessing. I have to admit, I did spoil the ending by peeking at some online discussions, but it was still satisfying to see everything unfold. The best part? The characters! I loved to hate Yoon He-ra, and Kang Ha's determination was kind of inspiring. Overall, a fun watch for a lazy weekend. 7/10, would recommend for a quick K-drama fix.

I wanted to like "Hierarchy" more than I did. The acting was decent, and the production value was good. But the plot felt predictable, and the characters fell into familiar tropes. The love triangle felt forced, and the ending, while conclusive, wasn't particularly surprising. If you're looking for something suspenseful and thought-provoking, this might not be it. However, if you enjoy classic Korean revenge dramas with a dash of high school theatrics, then give it a shot.

Me too! I am glad to see new faces. I get that the main male character enrolled in the school to find out what happened to his friend. But my heart was glued to the main female character. Can you imagine her life? She was stuck between a scary father who demanded perfection from her AND an ex-boyfriend who is obsessive and possessive of her. That's rough!!
