Netflix Splits Cobra Kai’s Finale Into Three Finales

Cobra Kai seasons used to come out at a steady clip, one per year, but the series hasn’t produced a new episode for Netflix since the fall of 2022. It’s said that Season Six is meant to be the final season, so…what’s the holdup? No answers there, but today we at least got confirmation that the final season does, in fact, exist. New screenshots were released from the unrevealed episodes, as well as a timetable for when the finale is coming out. And….it’s gonna take its sweet time. Netflix has announced they’re splitting Season Six into three parts and airing them separately. They’ve done this in the past, first with Stranger Things Season 4, then the most recent season of The Witcher, and now Cobra Kai. There seems to be a pattern here — it only happens to their most popular shows. With Stranger Things, they claimed the break was because VFX work in the back half hadn’t been completed yet. This was confirmed to be true, but we doubt

Ugh, a three-part finale? Come on, Netflix! I get it, they're milking their most popular shows, but this feels excessive. I just want to see how the whole thing ends already. At least we get a taste in July, but that November wait is gonna be brutal. Still, new Cobra Kai is new Cobra Kai, and I'll definitely be tuning in.

This is just another money grab by Netflix. They know people are hooked on Cobra Kai, so they're dragging out the final season to maximize engagement and subscriptions. It's all about metrics these days, not respecting the viewers' time. Splitting the season feels unnecessary, especially with the short turnaround times between the first two parts. Guess I'll just have to pace myself and avoid spoilers.

At least the show is not canceled and will have an ending. People should be grateful

Interesting strategy from Netflix. While I understand the frustration of viewers who want to binge the entire season, this split release likely maximizes viewership and keeps the show in the public eye for a longer period. It's a calculated move, and with their track record, it'll probably work. As long as the quality remains high, I'm not too bothered by the format.

Three parts?! Seriously?! This is torture! I was already bummed we had to wait so long for the final season, and now they're splitting it up? Talk about a buzzkill. Netflix better hope those first five episodes are mind-blowing, or they're going to lose some viewers with this extended wait.

Man, a three-part finale? It's a little frustrating, but hey, at least it's Cobra Kai! I'm definitely bummed the TV series is ending, though. It's been a wild ride catching up with Johnny, Daniel, and all the new characters. Cobra Kai brought the heart and nostalgia of the original movies back in a way I never expected.

Honestly, it's hard to imagine the franchise going back to just movies after this. The show really fleshed out the world and characters, giving them depth and complexity we never got before. It feels like the story could just keep going, exploring the next generation of karate kids and the legacy of Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai.

While I'm excited to see how they wrap things up in the finale, part of me wishes they'd found a way to continue on television. Maybe some spin-offs or another series set further down the line? There's just so much potential in this universe, and I'd hate to see it all end after this season.

Here's hoping the final episodes are epic and do justice to the characters and legacy of Cobra Kai. But hey, who knows, maybe the movies will surprise us and deliver something truly special.

It's bittersweet to see Cobra Kai wrapping up. It's been a blast revisiting the world of the original movies and seeing the characters we loved grow and evolve. While I'm sad to see the series end, it makes sense with the new Karate Kid movie coming out. Combining the original universe with the 2010s reboot feels like a bold move, and I'm excited to see how they weave those storylines together. Maybe Cobra Kai's conclusion paves the way for a smoother transition back to the big screen, with the potential for a whole new chapter in the Karate Kid saga. Who knows, maybe some of our favorite Cobra Kai characters will even make a cameo in the new film!

With Cobra Kai ending, it feels like a missed opportunity if Julie Pierce doesn't make an appearance before the final curtain falls. Hilary Swank's open to it, and it'd be a cool way to acknowledge the often-forgotten "Next Karate Kid" movie.
Maybe she could even interact with Daniel or Johnny, bridging the gap between the original universe and the newer one. It's a long shot, but with the franchise expanding into movies again, who knows? Maybe the new film will bring back Julie in a more substantial way, finally giving her character the closure she deserves after all these years.
