Publisher Dear Villagers and indie game developer Empty Head Games have introduced a new dark fantasy Metroidvania to the market, Saviorless. The game is live now on PS5, Switch and PC and sports an interesting hand-drawn art style — but it’s from a region of the world we don’t typically see art from. In the three simultaneous roles of Antar, the mysterious masked Savior, and rabbit-like friend Nento, you will journey through a land seemingly named ironically (“the Smiling Islands”). It’s now full of monsters, but you’re full of magic, so we’ll see who triumphs over who. Are the islands truly saviorless or can the trio bring peace to the land again?
