3 Body Problem is a best selling novel from China that is written by Liu Cixin. It sold millions of copies that it gained fanbase outside China. Back in 2018 it is suppose to be adapted into a movie but it was never released despite being close to completion. Just like what happened to the Bat Girl movie. Now Fans who loved the novel will finally enj0y it in live action thanks to Netflix. Though they did some changes to diversify the cast. The original book have a mostly Chinese cast.

David Benioff, D. B. Weiss and Alexander Woo works together to make this series happen. The Book is a trilogy so I hope this 1st season will be a success. We know how Netflix treats high budget shows if they didn't deliver.

It stars Jess Hong,Marlo Kelly,Saamer Usmani, Tsai Tsin, Rosalind Chao, Zine Tseng and Benedict Wong. The trailer of this 8 episode series took my breath away because of the visuals. The trailer uses a more subtle approach so you wont be able to predict the plot without reading the books. Only the other worldly visuals and aesthetics.

3 Body Problem

In the 1960s, China made a decision with far-reaching ramifications, the echoes of which may still be heard today. Ye Wenjie (Rosalind Chao and), an astrophysicist traumatized by her father's violent murder during the Cultural Revolution, was drafted into military service because of her scientific expertise. Stationed at a clandestine radar station in a remote place, her key decision at the base sends shockwaves through space and time, leading a group of modern scientists into a horrific showdown with a planet-ending menace. Together with a determined detective, they are forced to confront the legacy of Ye Wenjie's acts and face humanity's greatest threat. It is a butterfly effect that happened because of a single decision.

All Episodes of 3 Body problem will come to Netflix this March 21, 2024.

My favorite science fiction trilogy book. Ideas are simply amazing. and continue to get wilder all the way to the finish. Never been as impressed with concepts. All I can say is that this would most likely resemble something from these books if it occurred in real life, which it could. It's unbelievable that it's a TV show now.

I'm a bit skeptical about the Western adaptation of such a culturally rich novel, but I'm willing to give it a chance. The involvement of David Benioff and D.B. Weiss does raise some concerns, given the mixed reception of their previous work, but Alexander Woo's presence gives me hope for a faithful adaptation. The concept of exploring humanity's first contact with an alien civilization is intriguing. It's a narrative that can offer profound insights into our own existence and the nature of the universe. I'm eager to see how the series delves into these existential themes while delivering gripping storytelling.

Well One Piece and Avatar was done right so I have more trust with Netflix now.

The tension and mystery surrounding the coming danger are glaring, and it's clear that humanity's fate is at risk. I'm bracing myself for an incredible, adrenaline-fueled journey when the series finally airs.

The decision to adapt "The Three-Body Problem" for a Western audience is certainly ambitious, given the book's intricate narrative and deep cultural roots. However, every snippet of information released about the Netflix series has left me feeling cautiously optimistic. The involvement of David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, despite their polarizing reputation, could bring a fresh perspective to the story, while Alexander Woo's expertise ensures a nuanced approach to cultural themes. The casting choices, including the addition of Zine Tseng, reflect a commitment to authenticity and representation. As a longtime fan of the trilogy, I'm excited to see how these talented individuals breathe new life into Liu Cixin's visionary world.

The announcement of "3 Body Problem" coming to Netflix has reignited my excitement for the series. Liu Cixin's novel is a masterpiece of modern science fiction, and the prospect of seeing it adapted for the screen is incredibly enticing. While I understand the concerns about Westernizing the story, I believe there's value in exploring different cultural perspectives through adaptation. The diverse cast, led by talents like Rosalind Chao and Benedict Wong, reflects a commitment to inclusivity and representation. I'm particularly intrigued by Zine Tseng's debut as the young Ye Wenjie, and I can't wait to see how she embodies the character's journey. With Netflix's reputation for delivering compelling storytelling, I'm optimistic that "3 Body Problem" will be a captivating and thought-provoking series.
