Since Netflix has had so much success with turning the Castlevania series into an anime, it’s only natural they would start looking toward other Japanese video games to animate…and coming soon is one such project, based on Capcom’s Onimusha series.

Netflix is really diving deep into the gaming world with Onimusha. It's kinda risky, but I respect that they're taking chances. Let's hope this anime blows our minds and brings some love back to the Onimusha franchise!

I find it quite perplexing that Capcom chose to adapt Onimusha for Netflix. Onimusha hasn't remained popular in recent years, with no proper game releases in this decade, and most titles being exclusive to Japan. It makes me wonder why they didn't opt for a Devil May Cry anime instead. Honestly, who's going to tune in for an Onimusha anime? The franchise has lost a significant following, so this decision seems rather questionable.

This Onimusha Netflix announcement has genuinely excited me! I mean, the Castlevania anime was incredible, and now they're taking on another epic game like Onimusha? Count me in!I'm seriously hyped for this Onimusha anime on Netflix. Back in the day, I spent hours slashing through demons as Musashi

Hmm, it's interesting that Capcom chose to focus on Onimusha 2 for the Netflix adaptation. I've heard that Samanosuke Akechi's character would require them to use the likeness of Takeshi Kaneshiro, which could involve additional costs. That might explain why he's never appeared in Capcom crossover games like Marvel vs. Capcom or Capcom vs. SNK, to avoid the expenses associated with using his likeness. Going for a less popular Onimusha character makes sense in that context, as it eliminates the need for likeness rights and potentially lowers production costs.

I can't help but wish that Capcom had gone with another Devil May Cry anime instead. Devil May Cry is undeniably more popular and beloved than Onimusha. It would have likely garnered a much larger and enthusiastic fanbase, making it a more promising project overall.

Kim Jung Gi's art is legendary! Sad he's gone, but his work lives on in this Onimusha anime. Excited to see his character designs in action.

If this anime kicks butt, maybe Capcom will resurrect Onimusha as a game series. Crossing my fingers for that!

Dude, I'm seriously hyped for the Onimusha anime. It's been way too long since we've had anything from this franchise. Netflix is really going all out with these adaptations, and I'm here for it. Miyamoto Musashi better bring his A-game!
