In Korean culture, women in the palace are referred to as “flowers”. The high-ranking flowers were, of course, the queen, any princesses, and the king’s concubines. The queen and the royal concubines were constantly vying for the king’s attention and affection. Sometimes the competition was BLOODY WAR! No surprise that the alternate title for this TV series is “Blooded Palace: War of Flowers”.

Cruel Palace - War of Flowers" had me completely immersed in its world of palace intrigues. The characters' relentless pursuit of their desires, even if it meant crossing moral boundaries, made for a gripping storyline. The political maneuvering and unexpected twists kept me glued to the screen. Kim Hyun Joo's performance was truly commendable. If you're into historical dramas filled with suspense, this one is a must-watch.

Queen Insoo" was epic! That woman stopped at nothing to get what she wanted. It's crazy how she justified all those wicked acts. The historical angle made it even more intriguing.

Cruel Palace - War of Flowers" took it to a whole new level! That queen, or should I say, wanna-be queen, was ruthless. Murder and baby-switching? That's some next-level drama right there. But hey, you're right, Kim Hyun Joo's acting was on point, and I couldn't look away. Solid 9/10 from me, too.
