He is more than just an award-winning actor. When it comes to wearing hats, he’s been an actor, director, and producer. Denzel Hayes Washington, Jr. was born in Mount Vernon, New York on December 28, 1954.

Denzel Washington's career has been nothing short of spectacular. I've admired his work since he first appeared in St. Elsewhere, and witnessing him receive his first Academy Award for Glory was a joyful moment for me. He's done everything from action films like American Gangster to moving tragedies like Remember The Titans. Aside from his acting abilities, I'm moved by his charity efforts, particularly his engagement with the Girls and Boys Club of America. Denzel Washington's legacy goes far beyond his numerous awards.

Denzel Washington is a legendary actor who has left his imprint on the entertainment business. I've admired him since first seeing him in A Soldier's Story, and his subsequent performances have just added to my admiration. His Golden Globe triumph for The Hurricane was unprecedented, and it's encouraging to see him actively contributing to society through his charity endeavors. It's no surprise he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom; he certainly deserves all of the attention and acclaim.

I can't believe nobody mentioned Malcolm X! Denzel's performance in that movie was beyond words. He completely transformed into the civil rights leader, capturing his spirit and charisma flawlessly. Malcolm X will always be my top Denzel movie.

The path taken by Denzel Washington to become one of the most well-known actors is amazing. Since his time on St. Elsewhere, I've respected him, so when he won his first Academy Award for Glory, it made me extremely happy. His versatility in roles like American Gangster and Equalizer serve as examples of his range as an actor. My admiration for him grows as I learn that he participates actively in charitable endeavors, such as his donations to the Girls and Boys Club of America. Due to his talent and sensitivity, Denzel Washington is a genuine industry superstar.

My personal favorite is The Equalizer. In that character, Denzel was a total badass, taking on the evil guys while saving the innocent. It's action-packed and brilliantly highlights his personality; I hated it when they replaced him with Queen Latifah

My favorite Denzel film has to be Training Day! As Alonzo Harris, he was equally as fierce and persuasive. That part definitely put his acting skills on display.

My favorite Denzel movies....The decision between Man on Fire and American Gangster is difficult. The camaraderie that Denzel and Russell Crowe displayed while playing Frank Lucas was incredible. But in Man on Fire, he simply delivered Creasy's character such a depth of unadulterated emotion and intensity. Both movies are simply amazing!
