There may not be a lot of movie news coming out of SDCC this year…but there will be plenty of comics! The likes of Disney and Universal panels will be replaced by panels showcasing what the convention was meant to be about in the first place. Comics publisher IDW has a lot planned, and they laid it all out for us today.

The IDW panel schedule for SDCC 2023 is officially available, and I couldn't be glad! I can't wait to discuss the Star Trek line and the future comics they have in store for us on Thursday. The writers and editors will provide some inside information, and it sounds like it will be a daring and spectacular crossover. This one is certainly going on my calendar!

SDCC is going to be a blast with IDW's lineup of panels. On Friday, I'll be attending the IDW Publishing panel where they will talk about their exciting new direction and all the amazing series they have in the works. From TMNT and Star Trek to Sonic the Hedgehog and Godzilla, they have something for every fan. The talent involved is incredible, and I can't wait to hear more about their upcoming projects.

I'm disappointed to learn that SDCC 2023 will not have any movie news due to the ongoing writer's and actor's strikes. It's disappointing to miss out on the enthusiasm and news about future flicks. I hoped to learn about new trailers, exclusive sneak peaks, and behind-the-scenes information from my favorite franchises. It's a big setback for moviegoers like myself who eagerly await these announcements. I can't help but be saddened by the absence of that movie magic at this year's convention.

As a huge TMNT fan, I'm thrilled about the Turtlemania panel on Saturday. It's going to be a shell-tastic experience! The creators and editors will be discussing the ongoing series, The Last Ronin, and even epic crossovers like TMNT x Stranger Things. With so much Turtlemania happening, I know this panel is going to deliver some serious shell shock. I'll be there front and center!

The last ronin is one of the darkest comics I had ever read and I highly recommend it. Its Ninja Turtles like you never seen before.
