Say Ello To Elio, Pixar's Next Star

It remains to be seen whether Pixar’s Elemental will enjoy any level of success, but as far as movie premises from them go, it feels rather boilerplate — the kind of premise SNL would come up with to parody a Pixar movie. The one they have coming after this, Elio, feels a bit more original.

Creating new characters instead of changing the ethnicity of established ones is a highly effective and inclusive approach to promoting diversity and representation in the film industry. By introducing fresh and original characters like Elio, we can open up opportunities for underrepresented groups to have their own unique heroes and narratives. This method allows for authentic storytelling that embraces diverse cultures and experiences, without causing division or offense. It ensures that everyone can feel seen and represented on the big screen, fostering inclusivity and providing a platform for actors from different backgrounds to shine. Moreover, developing new characters allows for innovative storytelling, exploring uncharted themes and captivating audiences with fresh narratives. This approach not only avoids tokenism but also encourages the exploration of authentic human experiences and challenges stereotypes. By creating new characters, we create a more vibrant and inclusive cinematic landscape that celebrates diversity in a respectful and meaningful way. Look people are more supportive of this over Little mermaid.

Elio sounds like a fun adventure! I'm excited to see how the character deals with being the ambassador for Earth in the interplanetary organization eventhough he is just a kid.

Elio sounds super cool! I mean, imagine this kid getting accidentally taken to space and becoming Earth's ambassador. How awesome is that? I can't wait to see what kind of adventures he'll have and how he deals with being in a whole new world. It's gonna be so much fun! With Pixar behind it, you know it's gonna be exciting and full of surprises. I'm totally pumped to see Elio and join him on his intergalactic journey. It's gonna be epic!

It's noteworthy to notice that their upcoming film "Elio" shares a strong resemblance to the book "John Snowman: Supreme Negotiator of the Galaxies" released in 2019. Pixar seems to be exploring for new ideas after the underwhelming reception to "Lightyear" and "A Strange World." The idea of a typical child being transported into space and coming into contact with strange aliens feels quite familiar. Although I applaud Pixar's efforts to venture into uncharted territory, I hope they give the story a distinctive touch to make it stand out. It's unclear whether "Elio" will offer a truly unique experience or merely cover old ground.

I'm totally on board with "Elio"! It reminds me a bit of "Mars Needs Moms," but this one seems promising. Pixar gets a lot of hype for every movie they release, but not all of them have to be mind-blowing. Sometimes, it's nice to have a decent movie without expecting it to be the next Toy Story. That's why I personally enjoyed "Turning Red" more than others did. So, count me in for "Elio"! I'm excited to see what kind of adventure awaits Elio and how it differs from the usual Pixar flicks.

I've noticed something interesting in the "Elio" trailer. Elio seems to only have one eye, which got me wondering if he has a condition or an illness. It's intriguing how despite his health condition, he ends up being Earth's ambassador to the universe. It's quite a responsibility for someone who may be facing challenges with their own well-being.

If they do not want this movie to flop, they need to have a subtle marketing. Stop talking about representation and diversity. Having a diverse cast is enough, do not talk about it.

They need to pay a different advertising company and try to market it in a less woke wake. The main character is already POC so no need to talk about diversity. Market the charm and story instead.
