With the release of Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin for consoles in late 2021, Square Enix took their most popular franchise where it had never gone before — Soulslike action combat. Instead of turn-based or active-time battling via a menu, your character must attack vicious, powerful enemies in real time, delivering violent blows while dodging their own. Like Dark Souls, Stranger of Paradise is incredibly difficult — but that’s what fans of the genre like.

Ps5 player here, I ordered this game expecting mindless Dynasty Warriors-style battle. And the system's potential complexity astonished me totally. That is advantageous. I've seen a lot of opposing views on the game. Simply sample the demo, and if you enjoy it, purchase and support the full version. While everyone has a distinct point of view and preferred manner of playing video games, I appreciate Falcon's candid critique. The class system is OUT OF THIS WORLD, however this game has charm for utilizing some older methods that were used in previous developments (level design, story, dialogue, etc.). It reminds me of FF strategy. I participated in one of the best games ever. Steam players will enjoy this and because its PC they can add mods too.

I was jelous of the playstation players because they have it first. I couldn't wait to try Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. The new Soulslike combat system is a refreshing change from the typical turn-based or active-time battles of previous Final Fantasy games. I appreciate the challenge that the game offers, and the ability to switch between different job classes during battle adds an extra layer of strategy.

On sale on the PS5, I purchased it. I'm astonished by how much I enjoy it. In my opinion, it's worth your time and money. I'm sure you'll find something to enjoy if you're a huge final fantasy or souls fan. Don't let online reviews turn you off like they did for me.

I'm praising its combat system I love how it features fast-paced and challenging combat, with players using a variety of weapons and magical abilities to defeat enemies.

I had been patiently waiting for Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin to come to PC, I'm excited to see it's now on Steam. I'm a big fan of the Final Fantasy franchise and the idea of a real-time combat system intrigues me. The reduced price is a nice bonus too!

I'm just in it for the plot, super excited that I have a PC, and there is that option. I'm glad we're so many fans that are eagerly anticipating its release.
